Full honesty, I support William 100% through this. Talk about an impossible situation where there's not really a right choice. They'd already barricaded themselves into the room with David, so escaping would be difficult, given security already knew they were in there and they'd be trying to take a drugged Xavier and Cantrip, alongside an unconscious and hurt Alan with them (will also point out Alan is too heavy for anyone present to move while unconscious). William could've shot David but he's a normal man and that also would've made the security kick into gear, escalating the situation worse. Tide wasn't willing to let William and Vyncent just walk away from the situation because of his morals, so just leaving and pretending it didn't happen wouldn't have been an option unless it was immediately done after injecting Tide. Plus leaving David to his own devices is absolutely something William wouldn't rightfully trust, so with that commitment to injecting Tide, William staying made sense. There was no way this scenario would've gone outside of what DID happen that would've had less issues, less collateral, less damage. William chose the best option with what knowledge he had, and honestly I don't think there's much else he could've done beyond that choice that would've had a "better ending". Does it make William look bad? Yeah. Does he feel guilty for it? Absolutely. But given everything, that was THE best option given the impossible situation. And that's certainly not villainous like William thinks it is. Sometimes heroes have to make hard choices to save the most lives, even if the consequences come back to bite them. Calling William a villain for this, genuinely, is in my opinion a disservice to the actual nature of the situation he was faced with. Anyways thanks for coming to my TED talk

I'M SO TIRED OF WILLIAM LISTENING TO ANTAGONISTS AND SYMPATHIZING WITH THEM WHEN THEY'RE OBVIOUSLY PAINTING THEMSELVES AS THE VICTIM TO LOOK BETTER. I'm not actually I love it, please cause more problems ghost boy it feeds me THE SAME THING HAPPENED WITH DAKOTA'S CRAZY DOCTOR LIKE HOW IS IT NOT OBVIOUS THEY ARE PLAYING YOU FOR A FOOL Bizly purposefully creates situations in which choices are hard to make and the line between black and white is a thick grey and I live for the conflict it creates in the party WILLIAAAAAMMMM I'M GOING TO GET YOU

Pluto Taylor
