I love this arc!

Paul B

This is after Theron had won an Academy Award for Monster. And she's hilarious in this

JB Die-Kasten

Honestly I used to quote "What're we, Amish?" all the time when ordering food or any random spending

JB Die-Kasten

Same. I also like the Tobias hair implant arc. After Buster lost his hand I just felt like, we need *more* body horror in our sitcom, damnit!

Jason Bateman is so good at saying something cringeworthy and immediately regretting it. And the double take when he sees the long phone number. My god

Dick Tracy

Ron Howard came to fame playing Opie on The Andy Griffith Show (1960-68). It is considered one of the best sitcoms on American television. It’s also one of only three programs to end its final season as the #1 rated TV show. The others are I Love Lucy & Seinfeld.

the bloody hair plugs are so gruesome i cant believe they were allowed to air that honestly

plenty of great moments in 4, i think most AD fans could agree on that if nothing else

Dick Tracy

You may recognize TV lawyer Harry Hamlin (LA Law) from the original Clash of the Titans (1981). During filming the 27 year old actor became involved with co-star Ursula Andress, who was 16 years older & had a son.

So the thing about Season 4 is that Koogler, in Seasons 5-6 of Community, was in fact the creator of Arrested Development.

This show was constantly in danger of being cancelled. They made some meta-jokes about it in the season 2 “Sword of Destiny” episode when the Fox network cut their season 2 order from 22 episodes to 18 episodes. It really shows up in season 3 with a lot more meta-jokes about it and some stunt things they did to try to gain viewership. You are absolutely correct that Brad Garrett had won an Emmy the previous year over Jeffrey Tambor, that was a great catch. You can see how the reduction in episodes ordered for season 3 is forcing Ron Howard to do a whole lot of dot-connecting now from one scene to another. The start of this episode did feel like they were missing an episode between where they completely gloss over the fact that “Michael worked it out” so that George Sr. is on house arrest. As if the entire series up until now wasn’t tracking his prison/fugitive plot line, they resolved it in one quick sentence lol.

God Charlize is beautiful in this show.

Ron Howard saying “Nobody was making fun of Andy Griffith. I can’t emphasize that enough.” is probably my favorite joke of the whole series.

Will Fly

Yeah, I could probably look past the whole…thing.

Will Fly

Yes, Ron Howard and Andy Griffith know each other. Ron played his son Opie on The Andy Griffith Show.
