Patrons! We have started including subtitles for the show/movie we're watching on our YouTube videos. We'd love to know if you would like them on the full length reactions too?

Does this imply you will be / will not be watching with subtitles? Or do you add the video feed after (and can apply subtitles or not during the editing etc)? Sorry guess I'm not sure the process :) I'd prefer if you guys did not watch with subtitles typically unless you need them because things are hard to understand, but if you can do that and add subtitles for accessibility for consumers, I think that's great

I voted yes but I'm not really on board with YOU guys using subtitles (unless you want to), since it can ruin the timing of some jokes. I don't know if you sync the video in editing or record everything at the same time.

themoviejourney

We would be adding subtitles to the videos that you're watching 👍🏼

themoviejourney

We sync the video in editing. We dont have subtitles on when we watch

I am always pro-subtitles myself. I live with people who are hard of hearing so it's the norm for me, especially since I watch a lot of stuff not in English so I'm used to them anyways. I just basically always have subs turned on for everything.

JB Die-Kasten

Sometimes you need them for Susie Greene because she's so timid and never raises her voice

Chris T

This is what I meant to ask - thanks for being more clear :D

I'm a big fan of subtitles. Partially because I watch a lot of foreign media so I'm used to it, plus audio mixing these days is so crappy so subtitles save you from having to play with the volume every scene. That and my younger sister is hard of hearing so I'm pro-accessibility wherever we can do it. :)

I think you were plenty clear, we just posted our comments at roughly the same time!
