Dick Tracy

You may recognize Miguel Ferrer (Commander Arvid Harbinger) from Robocop & Twin Peaks. He was the son of Oscar-winning actor Jose Ferrer & popular singer Rosemary Clooney - which made him George Clooney’s cousin.

I do prefer Part Deux, mostly because the movie parodies are a bit better, and the ‘Apocalypse Now’/‘Wall Street’ crossover is peak. Yes, Richard Crenna was the same actor as in Rambo. There was an actual diplomatic incident in 1992 where President Bush (43) suffered an attack of gastroenteritis and vomited on Prime Minister Kiichi Miyazawa at a state dinner in Japan. Ramada’s arc in this movie parallels Ingrid Bergman’s in ‘Casablanca’ with Rowan Atkinson as the Victor Laszlo and Charlie Sheen as the Rick Blaine analogues. Lloyd Bridges in scuba gear and his underwater voiceover is a reference to his most famous role before the Zucker and Abrahams movies, first-run syndicated TV series ‘Sea Hunt’, where he played former Navy frogman Mike Nelson performing dangerous underwater missions for the Coast Guard, narrating the underwater sequences because dialog could not be recorded live. Incidentally, ‘Sea Hunt’ is probably the first TV series I can remember watching, in reruns, when I was 5.

Mahad Ali

If i remember correctly miguel got clooney his first paid acting gig or two. So he’s literally the reason clooney got his start in hollywood.
