IT'S TIME for you awesome patrons to submit your movie requests for the month of August!

HOW TO SUBMIT MOVIES REQUESTS:

Each and every one of you awesome patrons can submit a certain amount of movie reaction requests a month, based on your tier level. Silver & Gold: One request

Platinum: Two Requests

Diamond: Three RequestsComment your request(s) in this post and I'll then add each pick our into our request list.

NOTE: Please include the year of the movie you're requesting as well to avoid confusion.

NOTE: If you request more than the amount allowed for your tier level, I will just take your first pick.

HOW MOVIES GET UPVOTED

Access the request list HERE https://pollunit.com/polls/Rxu55c43xixhgi7VX7rwAQ

Go through and like every movie you would like to see a reaction too. The more likes a movie has, the better potential it has to be chosen!

Now that's not to say lower popularity will never be picked. We will still do polls here on Patreon that will ultimately get the final say on which movies get picked, with polls ranging from certain genres, decades, even random pick polls too.

NOTE: Keep checking this list on a regular basis, as new requests will continue to be added over time!

Well, the big box stores have already got their Halloween decor out which suggests it is time to take a break from obscure sci-fi and suggest films suitable for October. After some thought I am going with George Romero’s hometown classics filmed a few miles from where I live, ‘Night of the Living Dead’ (1968) and ‘Dawn of the Dead’ (1978). They’ve both been remade but I stick to the originals. Technically they both start at the same time, but “Night’ was filmed in black and white and covers what happens that first night, while ‘Dawn’ was filmed in color and covers a longer span of time with different characters in a different location. And since Hendo likes box office statistics, ‘Night’ cost about $114,000 to film and grossed about $30,000,000 worldwide in its initial release; unfortunately as a first-time filmmaker Romero’s distribution deal didn’t get him much of that money, and a mistake in the copyright notice on the prints made the film public domain from day one so he didn’t see much revenue from all the subsequent releases or home video. He scraped together about $500,000-$640,000 (depending on who you believe) to produce ‘Dawn’, which returned about $60,000,000 worldwide in its initial release, and he made quite a bit more from that movie. On a percentage basis, still two of the most profitable independent movies ever made.

Apocalypse Now (1979) - I would suggest the original rather than the Redux for a first watch. And if you've seen it already, do the Redux lol.
