I must not be the only person who thinks Nick is getting bullied. One day they'll treat him badly enough that he'll just leave, and this show isn't shit without Nick. Not a single one of them has the technical skills to step up. They laugh like they know better, but I think it's because they ARE genuine bullies and bullies are incapable of self reflection enough to realize it. Eric's level of narcissism makes him NEVER wrong about ANYTHING, so he'll read this and mock me instead of self reflecting. He thinks it's all in good fun. Nick pretends it's all in good fun. The cycle repeats itself. I hope I'm wrong Nick. Love you on this and on Regulation and am so happy you're here.

I never really dealt with a bully myself, but I also know what it's like to have shitty "friends" berate someone hardcore "all in good fun". It's often only fun for them. If nobody on the show will stick up for Nick, somebody has to. It's funny, because they observed their own behavior and foresaw the bullying comment - so they KNOW they're being fucking assholes, maybe even felt themselves step over the line - and turn turned and mocked the line anyways. Again, I hope I'm wrong and he's FULLY in on the joke and totally feels fine about it. I'm not even sure in this episode they even beat him up too badly, compared to previous episodes. But they called it out themselves.

you're thinking way too into this. It's acted up for the show, check out Micheal, Jordan podcast. Theres an episode of just Nick and Michael getting chick fil a and it's just a genuine pleasant conversation between them about workout plans and old eating spots. You can't get an accurate view of their relationship from an hour long podcast a week, that's such a terribly limited scope. We don't and won't know what their relationships are outside of the show which intentionally has them all dogpile and hammer on each other for effect. We won't know because they themselves keep it that way intentionally because our interaction with them starts and ends with the show. We're just an audience dude. Also Eric has been producing podcasts for well over a decade even running most of the technicals for Mega64's podcast years ago. Dude actually does know what he's doing.

Yeah, and I left it open to the possibility that it's all good. I hope I'm wrong. But just because they're only verbally abusive to him for a few hours a week doesn't really make it better if he feels like that is what it is. "Daddy only hits me when he drinks." The target of harassment keeps quiet and suffers because speaking up makes it worse. And boy it certainly does that for Nick. But everyone keep defending the abusers, that's pretty rad. 👍
