Hey! A new beta is on the way.

Here you can leave ideas for small MC script additions in Our Life: Now & Forever. There are various guidelines for what is doable, though.

To start, I can't add new features, entire new scenes, concepts that'd have to be accounted for over the whole story of the game, or anything not script-based (e.g. art/music). What I can do is add in specific choices/reactions to specific scenes to add some extra fun and make the existing content more fitting to different MC types.

There's a lot of things the MC can theoretically do/think/feel in OL2; the dynamic settings, the MC's feelings on the move and house and town and school, if they're shy or rude or amiable with different people, if they break rules or not, if they're tidy/polite or messy/rowdy, and more.

I try to remember it all, but I'm sure there are situations where I don't give certain aspects enough attention. If you feel like there's pieces missing to complete the experience, you've got a chance say so.

Basically, I'm gonna do my best to have the game reflect a wide range of responses/emotions per scene, but I want to do that without the game's actual completion being delayed by weeks, months, or years by adding more and more totally new scenes/features to it, haha.

Comments usually don't get a reply, but that doesn't mean the suggestion isn't going to be added. However, if you don't read the guidelines and request something not possible, it also might not get a comment to explain that it's not going to be added. I'm afraid it's not always possible to keep up with everything people post. So please do read the guidelines!

Guidelines:

-Suggestions are for the script. You can express an interest in new art, features, music, etc. and I'll remember that as the type of things players would want if possible based on time/budget, but anyone can do that kind of post in any place and putting it here in the suggestion thread won't give it a greater chance of being possible.

-Suggestions can only be for the content that's available for players to test. I won't be able to keep up with requests that apply to theoretical future scenes that don't exist. To go along with that, suggestions can't be to completely remake a current scene in a different way or to fit in entire new scenes in between what's there. This also applies to requesting MC elements/additions that expand over the entire game. For example, you can't request that the game should start tracking what phrases the MC tends to use and have characters comment in the future on their common phrases. Suggestions are for just the current scenes and the content that's already being tracked.

-Suggestions are for the MC and general prose. I can't do requests to change how non-playable-characters behave/speak. They are who they are.

-Suggestions must be appropriate for the age of the MC and the overall 16+ rating for the game. I can't make the 10-year-old MC act like an adult, not unless it's framed as clearly a child who is trying to pretend as if they're grown up. And I can't put in a ton of bad language or adult topics, especially in Step 1.

-Suggestions don't have to be specific, but that greatly increases how likely it is that what you want will end up in the game. For example, commenting that you'd enjoy silly options is something I can keep in mind when working on the game, but may not come through that well. Saying you'd like an option where the MC can tell a joke on a specific choice menu in a certain scene will give me a lot more context on what to do.

-Suggestions can be too specific, however. I can't use comments where the player actually writes out MC dialog/prose and would like that added word for word into the game. The goal is for me to create what players enjoy, I don't want to outsource filling in the script to other people.

There's also a channel in the private GB Patch discord for submitting suggestions, if you prefer to chat there.

And that's everything. You're welcome to mention where you think the MC could have more reactions/responses and such!

Thank you for following OL2's development 💕

Hello! I’m absolutely loving all of the progress being made so far, yet here are a list of a few suggestions on the script that I’d like to see. • if the MC chooses to be popular or unpopular in school, can there be a feature for the MC to choose how they feel about it all ? (takes place in step 2 ideally) • in the diner (at any point in time), could we specify if the MC has a preference on spices or if they can comment on their opinion of the food around them ? • if we go back into the forest in future steps, could we change our opinion on how we feel about it from back in step 1 ? (could possibly range to disliking the things inside of the forest, to just the forest overall) Don’t feel pressured to do any of these if you dont feel up to it, I completely understand ! I hope that you and the rest of the team are doing well. ❤️

I think it's so cool this suggestion thread even exists -- thank you for letting fans have input toward this amazing game! My suggestions (specifically focused on Mixed Up - Tam version): - During Omi/Cookie bar part: Could there be an option where the MC has made/baked cookie bars before and can say as such? Maybe even the opposite if they’ve never baked before or they're bad at baking. - When Tamarack spills the wet ingredient/MC reacts — could MC have a choice where they try to clean Tamarack’s mess like it never happened? Or just try to help Tam in some way, so she doesn't get blamed. There could also be a cute ‘you made a mess, so I’ll make a *Bigger* mess to make you feel better!’ action. Great addition~ Loved the detail of my MC not being able to have cow’s milk butter and them going to her house to grab an alternative. Plus: as much as I wanted them to have cute feeding each other cookie dough moment — I *do* love we get Realness where they('re BOTH too Stubborn and) get in a fight.

thank you very much for giving us the option! Love your work so far! Now to get on my personal suggestions!!! I feel like the options on how you feel in game are a bit one note sometimes? Like I feel it would be nice to have options of feeling both a mix of two emotions or more- Like uncomfortable- but a little bit curious- Amused but also nervous- etc. I could honestly see these types of options being more prevalent in step 2 and so on because it helps show the developing mindset of the M.C? Idk- something along those lines. Thanks either way though! I love the story so far.
