I remember when I was a kid I had to walk a little bit from the spot the bud stopped to my house in a col-de-sac, so on hot days if it had rained recently i would take my socks and shoes off and walk in the water in the drains on the side of the road

Nice link between Step 1 and Step 2. 🐸😁 I can see the MC, in the Step 2 Prologue, reminiscing about the past, and how much things have changed since the rainy day that the MC was looking for frogs with Tamarack and Qiu, back when the all three cul-de-sac kids were close friends....
