My first art of 2019 is underway.  Batgirl has the honors, and in this drawing she's been captured by the insidious villain Black Mask.  How will she escape her predicament this time?

Coloring a piece of line art for me is becoming very straightforward now.  It's all muscle memory.  You lay down base colors, start to add shading, add highlights and then add details.  It's a process that I can finish in just a few hours.

Coming up with the idea and the line work requires more brainpower.  So I like to devote weekends, where I have more time, to creating line work.  On weeknights I like to relax and paint the pieces.

Mad Man with a Pen

Coming along great. Nice insight into how you've been doing things. I can relate a little writing wise, getting a story started and outlined is usually the hardest bit. Filling in the story is a bit easier, but then you just need time to get it done.

One of the things I learned, in any sort of creative process, is get the big picture down first. Then worry about the details.
