This drawing might create some controversy!  Shortly after Zatanna debuted in the Justice League, George Perez designed this unique costume for her.  She's got a black, blue, and white leotard, flowy sleeves, a white cape, and thigh-high boots.   Some people might think this costume is inferior to her modern fishnets costume.  I think it's really cool and is vastly underrated:

The bad guy is based on someone from Zatanna #5 (2010). 

 Add this to my collection of Zatanna artwork.  Seriously, she's one of my favorite characters to draw!

I was sort of hoping for this to be two separate pieces, as while I know you said you wanted to do one with white cape Zatanna, I also sort of wanted a scene based off of Zatanna #5 that is a "what if he'd chloroformed her instead?" scene. That doesn't really work when her outfit's totally different. At least not in my opinion anyway.

Well, I think the villain is fairly generic looking anyway, so it doesn’t have to be based off the #5 issue. I think the next Zatanna piece will be more traditional!

Mad Man with a Pen

Great start with the line art SC. Love her sleepy eyes as she gets the cloth :) I'll admit, never quite liked this look for Zatanna. Not quite sure why, maybe it's the big sleeves or the fact this costume feels very 70s. It also could be I just really like her Magician's outfit. I'm sure you'll make this look great SC.

Mad Man with a Pen

The coloring is coming along great. Again, the eyes are what do it for me in this piece, how helpless they make her look, as she begins to fall to the cloth. Her posing is great too, and adds to the scene.

Lunar

This is my favorite piece. Zatanna is so attractive and alluring, my favorite DC character by a long shot.
