I took a bus trip from my Dad's house in Kansas with my two Brothers to visit our Mom in Georgia...then a bus took me from the airport in Kentucky to Fort Knox for my Basic Training...then from Fort Knox later to Fort Gordon before I went to Germany...while at Fort Gordon, I took a bus to visit my Mom again before I left the U.S. ... have some fond memories of my bus trips...

Bookish Keiran Discovers The World

I have two books with photographs of bus stops from the Soviet Union. In the same series I also have a book of concrete architecture in Italy, and mid 20th century London train stations. The publisher is called Fuel, their books are unusual but I like them.

As far as I know, bus stops in the Soviet Union were diploma projects of architecture students. That's why they were so different and amazing in many ways. It is a pity that almost all of them have already been demolished and replaced with standard tin boxes with glass.
