What do you think about neural networks in general and generative content in particular? Can a creative person use neural networks as a tool, or is such creativity "devoid of soul"?

I think as long as they acknowledge the use of it then it should be classified as art in its own category x

creativity should never be limited and creators should use all options that they can legally access...things that are being done today were only ever dreamed about in the 80's and now look at them...just imagine what they can accomplish in the future using all available tools to help...

Here they keep calling it A.I. which is short for Artificial Intelligence, and so far it is only artificial. These are generative algorithms that steal art copyrighted or not from the internet and displays it as it's own, Yes, it is supposed to be a tool, but that tool is exploitive and outright hurtful to true people of artistic talent. In America we call a lot it slop because it is so derivative and we are just bombarded with it every day. While it does produce neat and cool looking visuals and writes papers for grading and creates youtube content (yes, it is doing all of that and more) , I feel that the actual uses for it are far fewer than the companies that want to sell you a product make it out to be. It's currently a time waster for most uses and it 'learns' from them. I do love the pic of you on the bear tho
