Is a holy place ever vacant?

Looks more royal than holy

John

the Pope's position is sometimes vacant while the Cardinals get together and discuss and then vote for the new Pope...sometimes it goes quick, sometimes it takes awhile...with heads of State that are monarchies, usually the Oldest Son/Daughter fills in when the main personage passes...here in the States it never is because we vote for the person in November but the new President doesn't take the position until the following January and then the previous President steps down...but all of this would be dependent of course, on the viewers definition of "Holy"...

My question in the post goes back more to the Russian proverb, which can literally be translated as "A holy place is never empty," but in meaning it is close to your "Nature abhors a vacuum." That is, we are not talking about holiness here, but about the instant filling of emptiness.
