I'm guessing that due to the location, they must be of the Mongolian sector of Buddhists, which would be cool cause my DNA says I have bloodlines over in that area..but I'm Agnostic so not sure that it counts...but thanks for the pictures...

I know for sure that the locals practice the Russian form of Diamond Way Buddhism. This is a variant of Tibetan Buddhism, which is practiced in Buryatia. But you're right, the connection with Mongolia is strong here.

See...learned something new today...thank you...I was guessing Mongolia because it appears closer than the Southern Buddhist countries like Tibetan/Sri Lankan areas...never took into consideration of Russian Buddhists...the only Religion I can remember about Russia is Russian Orthodox...

Yes, the majority here are clearly Orthodox, but Russia is multinational and there are probably representatives of all existing religions here... I was wondering, what is the religion of the Khanty and Mansi? I need to google it
