And this is absolutely true. Vitya and I don't drink alcoholic beverages at all. The strongest "alcohol" that we have drunk in our lives is kvass.

what is Kvass?

Well.... Put stale rye bread, a little sugar and yeast in the water. Put it in a warm place for fermentation. After 1-2 days, drain the liquid and put it in the refrigerator. Here, you already have kvass in the refrigerator. Drink when it cools down! We produce it centrally, as well as at home. The alcohol content is about 1%. In general, it will definitely not work to get drunk.

Kvass is a rare drink in the UK, but there is a Polish delicatessen near my house that sells it. I buy a bottle every week! Do you ever add it to a salad to make a cold soup?

Oh, of course. We prepare a salad, which we call "Olivier" and pour it with kvass. As a result, it is called okroshka! Cold soup. Very tasty and refreshing, the best food in summer.
