Ellie Video Update ❤️Open To Project Suggestions (Patreon)

A quick update on the Ellie video: unfortunately, I’ve decided to step away from this project for now.

The teaser has already been removed after being flagged on Reddit, Twitter, and other platforms. I’ve tried making adjustments and clarifying that this is the version of Ellie from The Last of Us Part II and that she is 22 years old, but I’m still running into the same issues.

At this point, if I can’t safely advertise or share the project across the platforms I use, it doesn’t make much sense for me to continue putting so much time into it.

For now, I’m going to pause the Ellie video projects and focus my time and energy on projects that I can safely post on Patreon, advertise elsewhere, and actually bring to completion without constantly worrying about them being taken down.

I’m disappointed that the Ellie project didn’t work out, especially after the amount of time I put into it, but I’d rather focus on something I can actually continue and share with everyone.

Thanks for understanding, and as always, I appreciate everyone who supported the project! ❤️

I introduced the birthday scene to remove any questions about her age. I also changed the water-wrestling scene to remove the word “fight,” and added the scene where Joel admits he was awake in the tent to address any potential consent concerns. Despite making these changes, I’m still running into issues. :( Rather than sink even more time into trying to “fix” a project that continues to face these problems, I think it’s best for me to move on to something else, a project that I can actually share, promote, and bring to completion without constantly having to fight for it.

where are you having issues hosting? I am confused. This has been the one I was the most interested in because of the visual style and the voices; sad to hear. Its crazy with ALL of the stuff you added they still are flagging it. Will you be able to even share the version you have beyond the teaser? even if its just for a bit so your backers can see the work you have already put in; even if you cant continue the series I would like to see the product youve made so far.

I don't have much beyond the teaser at the moment. Since I released the first version, most of my time has been going into working on Rapunzel Part 2. Any spare time I had, I put into redoing the Ellie teaser and adding the new scenes, hoping the changes would be enough to get it through the platforms' systems. Unfortunately, it ended up getting flagged on every platform I advertise on, despite all the additional content and changes I made. That's where the hosting/advertising issue comes in. It's really frustrating, because I was hoping the changes would finally make it possible to share more of it.

I had a similar issue when writing stories about characters from X-men because they said "canonically" this character or that character (like Jubilee) are shown as teenagers; even though they are clearly adults now and Jubilee is even a mom. So I get how hard some of these things hit and wont budge. Just really disappointed because I like all the content but this one grabbed my attention the most for the art style.

I am suprised that the Spiderverse plays out when the Ellie one doesn't. Glad not everything is being flagged at least lol

I really appreciate that! Unfortunately, I still wouldn’t be able to advertise the project on the other platforms, which is a big part of the problem. I’d rather dedicate that time and effort to a video series that I can safely post on Patreon and advertise on other platforms. That way, I can actually keep growing the project and reaching new people without constantly worrying about it getting flagged.

do you think you will work more in that art / video style? I think that is what made that one stand out to me so much is the more realsitic style (not that I am complaining about how accurate and great the other videos look) one other random thought in LoU Part 2 the game starts with Ellie at 19. Maybe naming it LoU 2 or something could help. I have no idea how the flagging works so might be a stupid suggestion; just hate to see your good work having to be set aside

Maybe some clear cues to make it clear that it takes place during TLOU2, where she is already 19. Leave Joel out, add the arm tattoo, etc. in case you want to give it another go in the future.

Ofc disappointing, but makes sense. It sounds like people really liked the hyper realistic style of the LOU render and the "first time" narrative and deeper story arcs. You could go with a game of thrones storyline, or Rey from star wars (clearly over 18). I think a realistic style render of some of the other Disney princesses like Jasmin in realistic mode could be really exciting (would be nice to experiment with different skin tones). Doesn't seem like the princess line up has triggered any of the platform failsafes yet either?

I am a pen-and-paper roleplayer and Dungeon Master who uses AI image generation to create the character portraits and scenes used in my adventures. I never publish these images, as they are intended solely for private use by my players and myself. Even then, I initially ran into frequent issues where image services would block my character images, claiming they looked too much like real people, despite the fact that I had created them entirely from scratch. The irony is that the AI ​​relies on real people to achieve a realistic look, only to then complain that the result appears *too* realistic. I solved this problem by adding specific details that the AI does not associate with a known real person. In the case of a female Celtic warrior, for instance, I added a stylistically appropriate tattoo adorning the right side of her head and parts of her face. Her player liked the idea, so we simply went with it. Of course, if you want to depict a specific, well-known character from movies, novels, or games, such workarounds are severely limited.

Honestly, you did such an amazing job on this! It sucks that you’re running into that issue with there being so many TLOU parody videos out there, but I know you’ll figure out a way around it. Definitely keep it up because your work is seriously so good. Also, if you’re taking suggestions for future videos, I think an Incredibles one with Elastigirl would be sooo cool to see. Or even a Rick and Morty one featuring Summer or Beth!

I saw the Ellie video you made on an adult website. I subscribed to you specifically because of Ellie and Joel, but after subscribing, I didn’t see the content I was hoping to see. I feel like I was misled. Is there any chance the video could be remade and uploaded again?

Disappointing news. No disrespect intended but that teaser was the only reason i joined Patreon. I saw it on Rule34 who incidentally don't seem to worry about such things as I've seen much worse on there, and I liked your work.
