Classic Dragon (Markers) (Patreon)

This is a nerve wracking way to do colours. I miss my undo button terribly. It's particularly hard to have the presence of mind to keep certain areas clean for the highlights. Think I'll be cheating those in with the ol' Photoshop once the piece is done.

So, the way I approached this was to lay down the blue shadows first. Then, I had to choose colours that looked good together but wouldn't overwhelm the shadows. I was halfway done the purple when I realized I was giving him Spyro's exact colour scheme. I had even planned on giving him orange horns. Maybe I need to play those games again,

On to the pencil crayons next, to finish him off!
