I wanted to continue more with the Barn owl tutorial as it is quite a difficult bird to draw! So here I look at wings and feathers and I was not prepared for how difficult it was going to be! I will definitely need to re-visit this in the future.

neat. I'm fairly new in bird anatomy so if I may ask, how much more rounded is the feathers compared to other birds?

Thank you so much! I have done some barn owl paintings and really struggled to find reference for how specifically the wing feathers are arranged. This is such valuable information! And your drawings are beautiful, too.

Very very rounded! If you compare these wings to the others I've done earlier (Like the Raven and Magpie) you can see the first primary feather is completely curved instead of straight! It's a very odd shape indeed!
