Hi. I know how much you're looking forward to the update. I'm doing everything to get it out as soon as possible. I'm redrawing a lot of art, translating, continuing the plot, and continuing with the next routs.

The game has new locations, a reference to the much-loved Mr. Lobster, voice acting in a tea house, temporary events, more opportunities for farming, new opponents... There's a lot of stuff, I need time to finish it all, or at least get it to a stage where it all becomes more playable.

I also plan to add additional options for farming in the prologue in the prologue, but for now I'm only adding the opportunity to get additional features for healing, here and there.

Now the game has a specific year and books (About 15 already), the events of which are tied to special characters and dates, some of which increase characteristics, such as, for example, the skill of alchemy.

A special shop, events, old characters...

P.S. Right now I'm doing everything to release the update as soon as possible, namely this month. If you want to support me, now is the time. There will be a lot of interesting things ahead.

Will Jeanette become recruitable in part 3?

ubarefeet

You mean in the 2'nd chapter? Maybe. I just don't understand why the team needs another Dusty.

ewffwed

Jeanette is like dusty, except better in every way. I was just wondering if it would be a second elf greeter (shops owner idk) cucks/dominates dusty/gets dominated by one of the two characters situation, except since Jeanette is also homeless maybe she joins the party and the dynamic becomes more permanent (like imagine she’s a part of the later semi regular events like the nightly inn events) instead of just happening when the party is visiting a very specific location? In other words she seems like a fun third wheel, and while not as fleshed out as dusty id argue the interesting character dynamics and potential backstory make up for the lacking details. Btw did she have a crush on dusty since when she was younger and is that why she seems a little invested in ruining his love life in chapter 2? Well there are a few characters who could join the group, but imo she (and the girl from the village who worked in the mines and got kidnapped) are the only ones who seem like they’d have a decent reason to join the party that weren’t introduced in part 3.

Btw can u tell us what the flags do? I mean I figured them out I just keep forgetting which controls which variable.

ubarefeet

I understand that you want this, but first of all, this is your root. Events could have turned out differently. Secondly, you understand that adding another character affects the balance of the game, as well as changes the lines of most characters when Jeannette is in the party. It's a lot harder than you think. I can't make this game endlessly. I could if I had a lot more subscribers, but I really need a new audience, and it's extremely difficult to find one. So no, so far I don't see any option where Jeannette will be part of the team. And no, she's not homeless.

ewffwed

yes, in renpy save editor/saveeditonline I can modify certain variables that affect things like dominance, or hp, or the number of items in an inventory. for some reason they are labelled as flags in this game, ie flag64: 2 or smth like that.

ewffwed

I was thinking third. but it is probably too much work for combat mechanics, could Jeanette have more recurring events instead? or act as a story character/someone who is always conveniently missing/has an excuse not to participate when combat happens?

ubarefeet

Jeannette is not one of the main characters. She's part of the plot, the game isn't about her, I can't make one character, each player has their own favorite character, so...

ubarefeet

Changing them can cause the scenes to break down, so I don't recommend doing that.

ewffwed

hence why I only ever change variables like dominance level, combat stats, monies, items in inventory, and other somewhat less game breaking variables.
