Shirt Design: Fabric (Patreon)

This was the longest step aside from drawing: Picking out blanksBlanks are the type of shirt the screen print will go one, and there are hundreds and hundreds of choices. While I did experiment with some less pure-black shirts I knew I ultimately wanted the design to sit on black due to how complex the lines are. I thought they got too lost on the others. The galaxy swirls and red shirt especially have given me some sick ideas for different projects down the line though >:3 if all goes well they WILL be used. I'm not going to ever show the public how picky I got. Going back and forth between 3 shirts that all look and feel 'the same' is not very interesting. I am sure I have driven my screen printer insane at this point. I did want to show off just how different some of them could be, even though they are all black cotton shirts. There are so many slight variations to pick from based on brand, fabric, dye used, etc. Also, some blanks are extremely expensive. They can range from $3 all the way up to $40+ per. It all depends on the material used, popularity of the fabric at the time, and construction. Enjoy my pile of shirts (it's not all of them), and the knowledge that if you ever buy one that you are wearing my happiest preference. I am also splurging for the larger print on the back because we all deserve nice things.
