Welcome to the Yeen Zine!!

The yeen zine (pronounced zeen) is a monthly newsletter that I'm starting up, posting every month on the first! I wanted to keep everyone in the know for important dates this month, so that you all have something to look forward to because things. are. picking. UP! Normally, the Yeen Zine is going to be under the Sapling ($2) tier, but I figured that for this first one, it could be free!

I've got a LOT happening this month, from new reward perks, to website stuff, and moooooore!

First things first, what the heck have I even been up to? Well...a LOT. a LOT a LOT. I'm making myself a HUGE comic bible for my own reference while making this comic. The comic itself is going to be pretty long. At the end of it, we're maybe looking at 50+ pages. I don't want to dig myself into a hole by not being prepared, and so, the comic bible!

It's also going to be a really nice reference for any of you out there who have wanted to see a behind the scenes look at my process, and for those of you who might wanna give drawing my characters a go! The comic bible is also meant to give you all the run down for what Happy Trails even is (and this time of year is perfect for it!) I even made my own font for the comic too, which I can't wait to use more! You've already seen it in the header, and the little comic blurb my yeen is giving :) nice, huh? Alright, enough yappin, let's see those WIPS!

As you can see, a lot is happening while I'm absent over here. Sorry about that! I've just had my nose to the grindstone for quite some time now, and I'm ready to do this thing! The comic bible will ALSO have a comic plan at the end, detailing what each comic after this one is about :) I've got about 4 comics planned out (at least mentally) after this one, and I think you'll really love each one! Onto the website!

We are nearly done with the website! I wanted to have this all set up so that this month...

Night of the Lust Moon gets a public release!!

I finished it earlier this year, but I held off on posting it publicly for a few reasons, aaaand October was one of em! Now, I'll be posting updates to the site weekly ish, hopefully starting sometime around fri-sun this week (just gotta finish up some things, like the banner is still a WIP and the assets for Maple and Syrup need to be redone but! we are nearly ready for a public launch! I want to get everyone accustomed to the website so that when the comic starts up again we are used to browsing since....

I won't be posting comic pages on socials!

The website is where it's at, and the Patreon first! Why you might ask? Well. Several things! One being that I can't rely on socials to make a sustainable comic browsing experience. I hate how clunky and hard to navigate reading comics is on social media, and how hard it is to keep a media tab clean enough for a new reader to find older pages. I also want the site to be a hub of comments and community! Social media has been making me feel a little alone lately, and i want to foster something a bit closer :) Also, when I start the quest up again, it'll be easier to navigate and browse!

Onto rewards!

Last month I tried a little something different! Icon rewards for Cedars! I polled over on the discord for what people prefer, and the icon won out! I looove making these so much!

I'm still working on redwood rewards, which are YCH's now (but have varying poses with the same bg!) So those will be posted soon in their own post!

I'm sure you're wondering why I changed it, and it's all coming down to...time! I don't have enough time to take several unique requests a month AND work on a comic AND do commissions...I just don't U-U) I want to be able to give y'all more of what you're here for, more Maple and Syrup, and more Happy Trails stuff with all my characters! It's why you're here after all!

So from now on the Cedar tier reward will be a bust icon, and redwood rewards will be YCHs with detailed BGs. I'll offer them up over on vgen as well at some point, buuuut they'll be more expensive. If you want a chance at one and want to tip me for what I'm doin, you should try your hand at being a Cedar or Redwood this month! As for the reward for this month, I'll be posting the YCH and icon soon (with my cute lil yeen as a stand-in).

The theme? You know it!

Halloweeeen!!!!

Be ready for that post, It's coming up hopefully later today or tomorrow!

I'm sticking to a HARD schedule this month. Check it out:

Important Dates:

October 1st: Rewards OPEN again! I'll be posting later today with the icon and YCH for this month!

October 2nd-4th: Website launch! It'll happen one of those days, keep your eyes peeled, I'll announce it here, there, and everywhere!

October 6th: I reopen SKEB-style commissions on vgen. I'll be increasing prices due to demand, but not by much. I'll inform everyone on the Patreon Discord as to the time I'm opening them before anyone else knows! So if you want to be ready for em, make sure you're in the discord!

October 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th: Site updates!

October 10th: Reward submissions CLOSE on discord!

October 26th: I reopen SKEB-style comms on my vgen yet again!

October 30th: Some fun Halloween art will be posted!!! Woo!

I'm sketching TWO illustrations this month for the Patreon, both halloween related! You may be able to see several of my characters all dressed up (and down?!) for Halloween! ;)

Okay phew. I think... I think that's it?! So there's a lot going on! If you really want to see this thing happen, please keep supporting me! I need all the help I can get!

I'm trying to start a fun adventure-based cryptid-ridden exploration-mystery-monster-conspiracy furry smut comic! That's a mouthful huh?! If you like stuff like that, then you'll love what I'm cookin up! These two aren't just campers, you know! They've got a whole story that I want to tell, and this is just the first step! Thanks for being here long enough to see me get this close to my vision, it's been years but I'm finally doing the big thing.

And I'm serious about it!!!

Plum, OUT!!!
