Event progress + more stuff and changes (Patreon)

Heya!

I've worked on the new event art and gotten the line art mostly done!

There will be a small quest with the new event that you must do first. If you remember, Rokrok lost his loincloth and you need to find it and bring it to him for the event to trigger!

Here's some new sprite work for the quest.

I’ve decided to buff/change some of Lace’s spells that felt pretty useless.

Thunder spells.

Thundershock

Old damage formula: MP * 0.3 – enemy M.DEF

The old formula dealt damage based on the mana you had left after using 30% of your current mana. (30% of the mana left after usage, so very little).

New damage formula: MAG * (1 + (1 - MP / MAX MP) * 2) – enemy M.DEF

The new formula takes your MAG and then calculates a percentage for how much MP you still have (100% to 0%). Then the damage is increased up to a maximum of 3x times at 0% MP left!

The general multipliers per mana percentage are:

1x at 100% MP, so no change.

1.5x at 75% MP.

2x at 50% MP.

2.5x at 25% MP.

2.95x at 2.3% MP.

3x at 0% MP.

The spell still costs 30% of your current MP with a minimum of 40 MP, so you won’t have problems getting rid of your MP.

Testing this to see if I should do it this way, or have the multiplier be there when you have more MP instead of when you have less MP.

Bolt

MAG * 1.0 + MAX MP * 0.1 – enemy M.DEF → MAG * 1.2 + MAX MP * 0.1 – enemy M.DEF

The MAG multiplier for the damage is increases by 0.2

Ineractables!

I added some interactions to the main Golorock building when you’re inside.

There is a new item you can find on the 2nd floor of Golorock main building.
