Even though he had experienced far stronger auras before, being scrutinized by so many high-level cultivators at once was not something he wanted to experience often.

He could feel their overlapping spiritual senses swarming over his Sense Blocker all at once. Because their spiritual senses were so powerful at their cultivation level, the sensation was far more pronounced than usual.

Suffocating was the best way to describe it.

The Protectors were surprised when their attempts to probe the young man were completely thwarted. At this point, it became obvious that the young man Gandolf had brought with him was no ordinary individual.

Not everyone tried to probe Leyvi, however.

Among the ten Protectors who had been sitting there before Gandolf entered, two didn't send their spiritual senses toward him at all.

Protector Alexandra and Protector Newton.

It was because both of them already recognized him.

In Alexandra's case, she knew him because he had been one of the participants in the Mystic Realm expedition.

What made her remember him so clearly was the fact that he had somehow been able to see through her obscuring technique, even though no Core Formation Realm cultivator should have been capable of doing so.

She also remembered seeing him inside the pyramid when the survivors returned.

Her curiosity was immediately piqued. Why had that old geezer Gandolf brought him here?

As for Newton, he not only knew Leyvi's face, but also knew his identity.

The Spiritual Cultivation talent Leyvi had revealed back then had made Newton want to personally nurture him and help him become as powerful as Demoness Cocolia had been in the past.

Unfortunately, through his subordinate Leo, he had learned that Leyvi had made it clear that he didn't want to be bound by any organization, regardless of what they offered him.

So, Newton could only give up.

"Oi, Gandolf, what's going on with this summon? And who's that brat?" Tiger asked in his usual loud, hoarse voice.

"Hohoho... It's been a while, Tiger. It's great to meet everyone again. All of you seem to be doing well too. Just a bit older." Gandolf didn't answer Tiger right away and instead greeted everyone first.

"Also, Little Alexandra, this must be your first time attending a meeting with everyone since you succeeded Old Lady Wan Hua. How have you been handling all the responsibility? Any second thoughts?" He turned toward Alexandra and asked.

"Hmm... Some things turned out not so wonderfully. It's frustrating, but I'm not going to back out that easily." She replied, sounding slightly hesitant at first.

Although she knew Gandolf wasn't trying to make fun of her, she still felt a little sting from the question. She had always felt that she could have done more to prevent what happened.

If she had been able to prevent the portal from being destroyed, the participants probably wouldn't have been scattered across the Mystic Realm, resulting in fewer deaths.

"Ahem, ahem. A quick reminder, Gandolf. You're the oldest one here among us. Don't go calling us old." Jade chimed in, trying to help Alexandra avoid the topic.

As the Director of General Affairs, she had been the one who tasked Alexandra with overseeing the Mystic Realm expedition, so she felt partly responsible for the guilt Alexandra now carried.

In her opinion, Alexandra had handled everything extremely well. She shouldn't be blamed for the mysterious sabotage that had happened.

Now that the guilt had taken root in her heart, Jade was afraid it might eventually affect Alexandra's cultivation.

Gandolf, with his long years of experience, naturally noticed this, so he decided not to bring up the topic again.

It was also clear that although the young Protector was still burdened by guilt, she had no intention of giving up, and that was what mattered most. He didn't want the first of the next generation of Protectors to lose heart so easily either.

"Alright, everyone. I'm sure you've all been wanting to know why I summoned you here. However, before that, let's start with introductions first. I believe we'll be working with this young man quite a lot, so it's best that you get to know each other first." Gandolf said to the Protectors around the table.

He remained standing beside Leyvi instead of taking his seat.

"This brat will be working with us? Is it because he can do something we can't?" Tiger asked. Because of his voice, it always sounded as though he was picking a fight whenever he spoke.

"Hohoho, Tiger. Pretty sharp this time. You're exactly right." Gandolf replied.

Tiger simply snorted. He was already used to everyone treating him like an idiot. It had been like this forever.

"Then, let me introduce all the Protectors to him first." Gandolf said.

"Let's start with me. Kid, obviously you already know my name, but as one of the Cloud Continent Protectors, my main duty is to guard the South Region. Of course, the region is vast, so I can't do it alone. I have Envoys and their subordinates helping me with this. I'm sure you've already met one of them."

Leyvi nodded. He knew Gandolf was referring to Envoy Gareth.

"Next, Protector Tiger." Gandolf continued, pointing at the burly man who had spoken earlier.

"He's the one in charge of guarding the North Region. He looks intimidating, his voice is scary, and kids cry when they see him. But fret not, he's definitely a nice guy and a comrade you can trust."

Leyvi gave Protector Tiger a respectful nod, which was reciprocated with the same gesture.

As Gandolf said, Tiger definitely had an intimidating appearance. With that stern face and hoarse voice, Leyvi could easily imagine there had been plenty of people who mistook him for a villain at first glance.

Gandolf then pointed at the bald middle-aged man holding a sugarcane.

"This is Protector Sugaro, the one who guards the East Region. This guy likes to eat sweet things. If you want to bribe him, just give him any sweet food."

"Heh, don't listen to him, kid. This old man is outdated. Now I'm quite picky with my sweet things. Not that easy to bribe anymore." Sugaro responded, waving his sugarcane.

Leyvi gave Sugaro a respectful nod as well, though he couldn't help but wonder inwardly what kind of things these Protectors had been bribing each other with.

Gandolf then pointed toward a seemingly ordinary old man with a short gray beard. There was nothing about his appearance that made him stand out like the others. If he hid his powerful aura, he could easily be mistaken for just another ordinary old man walking along the street.

"This old man here is Protector Java. He guards the West Region. Also, don't expect him to talk much. He's always been quiet. It's hard to make him open his mouth."

Leyvi nodded respectfully once again.

He didn't really have anything to say about Protector Java yet. The man had barely spoken since he arrived, and aside from his cultivation, there wasn't anything particularly noticeable about him.

Still, Leyvi had a feeling that the seemingly ordinary old man might be more interesting once he actually started talking.

"And the last security guard among us is Protector Voltroze, who guards the Central Region, the biggest Main Region. In terms of combat power, he ranks number one. Well, at least he did a thousand years ago. Now, who knows who's stronger than who? It's been a long time." Gandolf introduced, pointing his thumb toward a middle-aged man sitting with his arms crossed. Small bolts of lightning constantly flashed within his eyes.

"I can guarantee you that I'm still the strongest. Not even close." Voltroze responded with a confident smile.

With just one look, Leyvi could tell that Protector Voltroze was a lightning cultivator. It wasn't just the lightning constantly flickering in his eyes. Even his hair was generating tiny sparks of electricity.

Cultivators with the rare lightning element spirit root had a harder time cultivating because of its violent nature. However, the advantage was that they were usually much stronger than other cultivators at the same level.

So hearing that Protector Voltroze was still the strongest among them didn't surprise Leyvi at all.

In fact, Leyvi couldn't help but wonder if he could ask Protector Voltroze to help him train his body with powerful lightning strikes. He felt that a little variation in his body training might be beneficial.

After giving Voltroze a respectful nod, Gandolf moved on to another Protector.

The man he pointed at this time was dressed in a dark frock coat and wore a top hat. His appearance was quite distinctive compared to the others.

"This is Protector Sherlock Romes, the Director of the Bureau of Investigation. You should be clear enough about what they do, right? I don't think I need to explain this." Gandolf said to Leyvi.

Leyvi's eyes immediately brightened when he heard the introduction.

So this is Protector Sherlock Romes.

Leyvi scrutinized the man with some curiosity.

He had been particularly interested in this person because of his connection to Tal, who had joined the Bureau of Investigation a decade ago.

Tal had informed him not long ago that he had caught the Director's attention and might have the chance to become his disciple in the future.

The Director Tal had mentioned was none other than Sherlock Romes himself.

Naturally, Leyvi couldn't help but be curious now that he was finally seeing the man in person.
