You slipped, you slept
Fell into a comatose state
Intravenous truth passed right through
So still, left on the borderline

I dreamed I drowned
A bogged down form incapable of tanking words
between breaths you take
Instilled as you made

Silent still
without words misconstrued
Just a picture with a face
Reflecting you
Out of time, out of place
Hands outstretched to you

Taking every breath
While you're still awake
Until silent still
