🚨 Important Dw3D Update – Commission Window Closed Temporarily 🚨

Hey everyone,

Unfortunately, shortly after reopening commission requests, I ran into a major issue with my primary workstation. As a result, I am temporarily closing commission intake until I can get the system fully operational again.

Over the last 24+ hours I have been troubleshooting nearly nonstop, including calling out of work today to continue diagnostics and attempt recovery.

So far the following has been tested:

• CMOS reset performed• BIOS reset to defaults• BIOS successfully reflashed via Flash BIOS recovery• RTX 3060 removed and tested on 5700G integrated graphics• Multiple RAM sticks tested individually• Multiple RAM slots tested• M.2 boot drive removed• Windows Recovery tested• Fresh Windows installer tested• BIOS stability tested for 30+ minutes with normal temperatures

Despite all of that, the system continues to hard lock during operating system startup. BIOS remains stable, but any attempt to boot Windows or installation media freezes completely.

At the moment it appears the issue is likely heading toward a motherboard replacement, with CPU replacement remaining a possibility if further testing points that direction.

Needless to say, this was not how I expected the week to go.

That said, Dw3D is not shutting down.

My son also maintains Patreon access, and between the two of us we are going to do our best to keep content moving while I work through the hardware situation.

🎯 Current Goal

We are still aiming to release MR Daredevil Collection for G8M within the next day or so if everything goes according to plan.

You may notice some differences in post formatting or writing style for a bit. Normally I rely heavily on my workstation, project notes, templates, and other tools to keep everything consistent. Until the system situation is resolved, some posts may be a little more manual than usual.

The content itself, however, remains Dw3D.

I appreciate everyone's patience while I work through this. The support from this community has helped Dw3D grow far beyond what I ever expected, and I fully intend to get things back on track as quickly as possible.

Thank you all for sticking with me during what is turning into a very unexpected hardware adventure.

Looks like my local Best Buy has a few of my motherboards in stock. I'm heading over tonight to see if that's actually the case and hopefully pick one up. After everything I've tested so far, I'd put the odds at roughly 85% motherboard and 15% CPU. The system posts normally, enters BIOS normally, and can sit there for extended periods without issue. The lockup consistently occurs right as the system begins handing control from the motherboard firmware over to the operating system. At that stage, the motherboard is doing most of the heavy lifting, which is why it remains my primary suspect. At this point I've tested multiple RAM sticks, different RAM slots, removed the GPU, removed the boot drive, reset CMOS, reflashed the BIOS, and even tested with installation media. The behavior remains the same throughout. Hopefully a board swap gets Dw3D back online and saves me from replacing the CPU as well. Fingers crossed. 🤞
