Saw the original with my mom in 1999 when I was 11 years old . 17 years later, we're going to see the sequel next weekend.

Now I have two movies to go watch. Thanks, Nick (am sincere)! By the way, it's an oldish movie (2007/1997) but it would be really interesting to hear your take on Funnygames, given it's a satire and how it handles said satire (or just Haneke's form of horror & creepiness in general)

Personally, I really enjoyed the climax, but with one or two exceptions, none of the other scares really did it for me. My stance is that if the first film had the climax of this one, it'd be considered the best horror movie of all time. That's what this one tries to be, but it stops short of reaching it. Maybe it was too many of the fakeout scares, but while the climax is worth sitting through the rest of the movie, it can feel like a chore sometimes
