I've been through similar situations as the ones you talked about, very recently in fact, and I know it can be terrible and consume parts of your life. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that you never need to apologize for putting the channel on hold for your personal life. You do such amazing work and we're lucky to have you here at all.

For what it's worth, I have lost quite a few close friends and family members in my life. I certainly think you made the right decision taking some time off for yourself and your friend.
