Alex

If you ever get around to publishing this would be a good spot to end book one.

I hope Treetree remembers when he wakes up that he still has Wood magic to learn. :P

Hmm... elves trapped in darkness serving an ancient burning tree? ....Dark Elves, here we come!

After reading the side story, I can only agree with you. Especially the longer loss of consciousness will probably lead to a time skip where we will find that new society.

I love it! Meditative grind for growth is good, but when things get significantly shaken up it really helps with making characters feel alive

I just hit me that TreeTree chose his knight instructors from the 5 nearest kingdoms and now the're likely gone while the knights still live and Freekans owe no favors. The cunning tree wins again :D By the way, you mostly go with 'we' from TreeTree's POV since the Lily walker incident but sometimes it's 'I' — are these just slip-ups' or is it reflective of their thoughts?

Alex

What about Dimitree? And weren't there more spirits that he created?
