Great chapter! Mean to end it before finding out what the benefits of killing the DK were though... lol! Hopefully this means the heroes are free of parasites then and giving the mage hero more defenses was just preventative and not a sign that he was the only one to win the internal fight.

Before Aeon was just arming and informing the heroes, but with him being able to help out more actively I think we’re going into another golden age of quick demon king kills.

I think his extra soul defenses are what got the final blow on the demon king. The ray of light that vaporized it reminded me of what happened when the first body tried to possess Aeon and got vaporized.

Gotta end somewhere though it would have been nice had the post battle been included. And I’m thankful the author never pulls a “find out what happens next week/ chapter! “ Before finishing off the demon king I really like that most chapters feels self contained Imagine how it would have felt if the chapter where jura died ended with the demon king lunging at him or something

Agreed. I'm glad the chapter ended post DK death. Needless cliffs or incredibly frequent cliffs can be very frustrating

Aeon is, and always will be, a soul tree at heart. His soul defense is supreme. Not that he understands that, he can help the heroes more, and maybe even ‘recruit’ them from the gods once the time of hero summoning ends. Aeon will basically help the heroes become stronger and help them survive longer and kill more demon kings. This will be a big help once heroes become a limited commodity.

I'm wondering what happens when the heroes reach level 150. Do they get to shed their hero restraints when they achieve a domain? They're around lv. 130 already, and probably got quite a bit from that battle. They very much might make 150 after killing 1 more demon king, or shortly thereafter.

I surmised that the gods put up a sort of a stop gap limiter that is why they don’t have domain abilities so that heroes don’t reach divine ascension and would remain as semi-demigods.

I want to see a plot of a isekai only born child entering Aeon’s ranks, plus now I’m curious on how the soul plant can effect inherited skills. (An idea from the Discord.)
