Oh boy. Oh gosh. This one still hits. Emil's theme cuts right to the heart every single time. Ok, commencing brainrot! Either there's a lot to say in this one or I'm feeling extra yappy today. Sorry! 5:02 Is that "box with a cord" a Playstation?? 7:40 This is a thing that stems from the YoRHa stage plays that depict the Pearl Harbor Descent Mission. There have been different productions over the years and the story has evolved with each run, sometimes adding or subtracting characters (in 2020's ver1.3aa Anemone was removed and Jackass was added, for example). 9:15 In mathematician/philosopher Blaise Pascal's "Pensées", section 1-14, he wrote: "When a natural discourse paints a passion or an effect, one feels within oneself the truth of what one reads, which was there before, although one did not know it. Hence one is inclined to love him who makes us feel it, for he has not shown us his own riches, but ours. And thus this benefit renders him pleasing to us, besides that such community of intellect as we have with him necessarily inclines the heart to love." This is super interesting because it basically describes streaming and reaction content. When we see others react to media that we already like, we feel the reactions more keenly and grow to appreciate the media even more. We "feel the truth, which was there before, though we didn't know it," and thus we also appreciate the content creator for "showing us our own riches," so to speak. I guess this doesn't really have anything to do with NieR nor that timestamp except that Pascal is on screen lol 14:03 This is where I lost it too. 14:21 is where we kinda-sorta see Nier. 14:54 Same, Nines, same. 20:06 Trueeeee. But there will always be 23:36. 24:40 This is a Japanese honorific thing. Adam tells Eve to start calling him "nii-san" rather than "nii-chan". Ad break transition messages for Episode 5: [Report] A remaining replica of a magical weapon from the old world has been discovered. [Report] This individual, which is close to ceasing function, must be happy.

Pascal is just the best.
