I have designed this mod to fundamentally rewrite the FC 26 engine. My goal was simple: to move away from the "scripted" feel of the base game and deliver a physics-first, attribute-driven simulation.

Note on Completeness: I have now finished the comprehensive overhaul for the Defending, Goalkeeper, and AI Intelligence systems. Every aspect regarding these pillars has been adjusted, tested, and finalized to ensure a brand-new experience.

What's new in the V4:

1. The Kinetic Physics Engine: Weight & Atmosphere

Master Physics Profile In the original game, the ball feels like a light, "guided" object because the air resistance is too low and the bounciness is too high. This makes first touches and long-range shots feel scripted and weightless.

The "Heavy Ball" Experience: I have fundamentally recalibrated the ball’s weight and inertia. The ball now behaves like a dense, 450g professional match ball. It no longer "pops" off players unnaturally, making first-touch control a true test of your skill and the player's attributes.

True Aerodynamic Drag: By significantly increasing air resistance, I have enabled a realistic "dip" and "decay" for shots. The ball now catches the air and dives based on pure physics rather than pre-set animations.

Pitch Interaction: I have overhauled the friction settings. The grass now "grips" the ball—slowing down passes naturally on long rolls and "biting" the turf during technical strikes to stop that "ice-skating" ball look.

Authentic 50/50 Scrambles: Because the ball is heavier and less elastic, collisions create much more chaotic and realistic loose-ball situations.

Global Environmental Physics

Supercharged Magnus Effect: I have sharpened the interaction between the ball’s spin and the air. Spinning the ball now creates a high-intensity aerodynamic "pull," which is the engine-level reason why my Trivelas and Finesse shots curve with professional-grade intensity.

Sustained Technical Rotation: I have lowered angular drag to allow technical spin to last longer during flight. When a world-class player "wraps" their foot around the ball, the curve remains lethal from contact to the net.

2. Passing Weights & Professional Ball Travel

Eliminated "Ping-Pong" Passing: I have fundamentally rewritten the travel time curves for all ground passes. The ball now travels with realistic velocity and weight, giving you and the AI time to read and intercept passes.

Realistic Ball Bobble: I have tripled the surface noise for long-range passes. The ball will now skip and bobble across the turf, making it much more challenging to trap perfectly, rewarding players with high First Touch stats.

Manual Receiver Accountability: I have removed the artificial "magnetic" assistance that used to guess your target. My overhaul ensures the engine respects your manual stick input with 1:1 precision—if you aim poorly, the game will no longer "fix" the pass for you.

Blocked Lane Logic: I have significantly increased the penalty for choosing receivers in "dirty" space. The engine now recognizes if a defender is standing in the passing lane and will no longer "cheat" the ball through their legs.

3. COMPLETE OVERHAUL: Elite Goalkeeper Intelligence

I have finalized the Goalkeeper overhaul. All aspects of positioning, reflexes, and trait-based behavior are now fully adjusted.

Eliminated "Ball-Watching": I have slashed the internal "Indecision Ticks" that used to cause keepers to stand still during high-velocity shots. Keepers are now proactive and react with frame-perfect professional timing.

Humanized Line-of-Sight: I have rewritten the "Screened Shot" logic. If a goalkeeper's view is blocked by a crowd, they will suffer a realistic "reaction lag." They will also actively shuffle their feet and shift their stance to "find" the ball through traffic.

Spectacular Athleticism: I have widened the angle windows and removed the "static" movement penalties. This allows for spectacular "fingertip" saves over the bar and reactions to shots even when moving at high speeds.

Trait-Based Mastery: I have overhauled every specialist trait. "Far Reach" specialists can now reach previously "unsaveable" corner-bound shots, and "Quick Reflex" specialists launch into save animations instantly, providing an imposing presence in 1v1s.

4. COMPLETE OVERHAUL: Defensive Physicality & IQ

The Defending system is now complete. I have adjusted every collision, interception, and positioning parameter for total realism.

Violent Defensive Impacts: I have rewritten the kinetic rules for shoulder barges. Physical giants now realistically "bully" attackers off the ball, while smaller players will suffer significant stumbles if caught in a mismatch.

Tactical Shirt-Tugging: I have doubled the speed reduction (drag) for being held. Tugging a shirt is now a legitimate tactical tool to anchor a breaking winger, eventually leading to a realistic fall if the harassment continues.

Eliminated "Magnetic" Recoveries: I have reduced the reach and suction logic for defensive trapping by 40%. A defender must now be physically well-positioned to win the ball back; they can no longer "lunge" or "suction" the ball from unrealistic distances.

Smarter Jockey & Step-In: I have narrowed the trigger angles for defensive step-ins. Success now depends on your manual positioning and timing, removing the "side-snapping" assistance of the base game.

5. COMPLETE OVERHAUL: Realistic AI & Match Flow

I have finalized the AI Intelligence and match flow rules. The CPU now plays with human-like unpredictability.

Human-Like Passing Risk: I have lowered the AI's "safety" thresholds. The CPU will now attempt daring, high-skill "killer balls" through tight gaps rather than always recycling the ball backward.

Elite Tactical Playmakers: I have amplified the "Playmaker" and "Through Passer" traits. World-class midfielders will now dictate the tempo with noticeably higher intelligence, spotting runs the default AI would ignore.

VAR-Era Offside Realism: I have fundamentally rewritten the timing logic for offside calls. The referee now allows a split-second of play to develop before blowing the whistle, mirroring the "delayed flag" seen in professional football.

Proactive Sweeper Keepers: I have expanded the threat detection range. CPU keepers will now proactively leave their line to intercept loose balls in the central channel, shutting down counter-attacks early.

6. Signature Striking Ballistics

Signature "Banana" Arcs: I have fundamentally rewritten the yaw-spin physics for Finesse shots. They now feature dramatic, sweeping arcs that are visually stunning and physically distinct from normal shooting.

Violent Top-Spin Dip: Technical strikes now feature a lethal dipping effect, rising over the wall and "diving" sharply into the net.

Trivela Mastery: Trivela shots now "hang" in the air before dipping aggressively, allowing them to travel outside the far post before snapping back with professional-grade rotation.

Aerial Dominance: Headers no longer feel "floaty." I have doubled the potential acceleration for headers, ensuring they carry the heavy momentum of a player’s run and snap off the head with visceral power.

Quick Summary of My Changes

For those who want a quick look at the major pillars of this update.

Total Physics Overhaul: The ball is heavier, "bites" the grass, and fights through air resistance with 1:1 realism.

Defending (Complete): Strength and positioning are king. I have eliminated "magnetic" help, added tactical shirt-tugging, and made collisions feel visceral and heavy.

Goalkeepers (Complete): No more "ball-watching" or near-post glitches. Keepers react like elite athletes and struggle realistically through crowded boxes.

AI Intelligence (Complete): The CPU takes risks, plays through-balls like a human, and manages the pitch with elite tactical awareness.

Technical Shooting: Finesse and Trivela shots feature "Signature" sweeping curves and violent dipping trajectories.

Passing Mastery: I have removed the "ping-pong" effect. Passing requires manual aim, correct weight, and the ball bobbles realistically on the turf.

While I have documented the core pillars of this overhaul, there may be minor technical features and value adjustments present in the gameplay that I missed in my notes. As this is still in BETA, your input is essential—if you have suggestions or notice something is off, please don't hesitate to leave a comment to help shape the future of AGT Gameplay.
