Hello hello it's Willy here! How's it going, Steel Drawers?

The Delian Tomb will be a lot players' first time diving into a game of Draw Steel, and we want to make sure there are an assortment of classic monsters roaming the ruins to show them the ropes. Today, we're previewing a band of monsters from the adventure that didn't have much of a presence in the core monster book: the oozes!

Slimes, sludges, putties, and ichors have arrived to creep into your earholes and dampen your socks. The oozes are designed to not only strike fear into the hearts of level 1 heroes, but also to cause serious problems for higher level heroes if they aren't dealt with quickly.

The latest version is attached below. Keep in mind that these goops are still being edited, revised, and tested—they might look completely different the next time you see them!

To the Directors, feel free to dot your caves, sewers, and keeps with an assortment of oozes as you see fit. They also work well when used alongside other monsters hiding in the dark like goblins and the undead. To the Heroes, watch your step and stay out of the way of the gelatinous ball.

Rise Heroes Rise!

This is perfect timing! I'm running an ooze encounter tonight!

Cromm

Damp socks! Gruesome!

Chase

It's oozing time

Robert Lawson

I know this is a simple typo and will get fixed right away but the quote "When evil and fowl emotions linger..." is now canon to my game.

Lucas Hamrock

Ooh! I can think of ways to use these that would be really slimey! Best version of oozes that I have seen yet

Realm Referee

I put on my Steel Drawers like everyone else: one leg at a time.

Ryan

I’m imagining a chest of drawers made of solid steel

Gustavo

I love that Willi was the lead on the monster book. His wonky ideas are the perfect stuff to surprise heroes time after time. And I‘m able to play as those.

Ryan

These actually remind me a lot of the slimes in Slay the Spire

RoombaGladiator

Hey, how do we expect the Gelatinous feature should affect turn order? If a sludge takes its turn then splits, do the two new sludges get to take a turn that round because they're new creatures, or would they wait until next round because they already took a turn?

Noah Davis

Can’t wait to carry players away with the gelatinous ball.

mcdm

It's somethin' we've gotta test and figure out still! As written, one new ooze comes out of the split--keep the new ooze in the same initiative group for now but always give the new ooze its triggered action back. So if the old ooze took a turn, then the new ooze has already taken a turn but can still use a TA

Cody Rapai

Speed 20! Good god! Can't wait to suck up a hero and zoom off!

Wojo

Imit Puty->Uncanny Impression: `Using their bonus for any power roll` Seems a bit unclear. Is the "their" the targets that they copied or their own? That being said. Floating bolt is my fav. Never thought of having some flying ooze's.

Michael Dorn

I am also a little unclear: does the Gelatinous feature creature two new creatures that both lose conditions, benefits, and effects or does it create one new creature and the 'original' carries on with half its Stamina?
