ARCADIA 14 Q&A for Patrons Only Wednesday 4/6 (Patreon)

Hey MCDM Patrons,

James Introcaso, here to let you know that another ARCADIA Q&A is coming this Wednesday 4/8 at 11AM Pacific. I'll be talking to ARCADIA 14's authors: Willy Abeel, Gwendolyn Marshall, and Sally Tamarkin.

We'll send out a link to the ARCADIA 14 stream via a Patreon update just before it begins. If you're not a Patron, have no fear. Each author's interview will eventually be cut out and posted individually to YouTube, so you can watch as you please in more bite-sized chunks.

We will be headed into spoiler territory too if that matters to you.

We'd love to gather as many questions as we can for the authors BEFORE the stream. If you have any burning questions for the authors, ask away in the replies!

We're currently spacing out the ARCADIA interviews on YouTube with other content, so that the channel isn't all-ARCADIA, all the time. This means the ARCADIA Q&A videos will be making it up on YouTube at a slower pace, but they will all make it there eventually. We have a lot of balls in the air at the moment, so our video production has slowed a bit. -James

Not trying to be a dick, just trying to understand. So the goal is to cut up these interviews into several different videos that will be uploaded at different times, with the goal being that Arcadia doesn't flood the channel to make it look like it isn't just a bunch of Arcadia videos and this is why we are two months behind on Arcadia Q&A? Again, not trying to be rude

Question for Sally Tamarkin: What was your design philosophy behind this adventure and how did that impact the types of encounters you decided to include? How do you recommend going about making the non-combat parts of the adventure interesting/engaging for players?

I have a question about the hit die for large creatures. Why did you go with 2d6? it only has a .5 higher average then a d12 and feels a bit weaker then jumping move up a die size like a d10 to d12. Was this for balance reasons and did you ever consider something like a d14? I know that die isnt common (IDK if it exists), but its pretty easy to roll it online. And also why did you jump the fixed value to an 8 when the average is a 7? I really love the rules for different sized adventurers and im really excited to use them. Also a slightly related follow up, for the titan heart sorcerer subclass, does it change at all with a different sized PC?
