Thanks for cross posting this here! I saw it on YouTube first and didn't even realize I didn't see it on here yet. Oh well, Merry Christmas and thanks for making something heroic

Thanks for sharing, I’m thinking about adapting this for 5e as I really don’t love the death saving throws rules.

I really like this and think it adds some fresh options for the Director and players. The two ideas I had immediately were first, monsters could be used to taunt an unstable player to attack. Also, most people will probably play smart but I like the idea of roleplaying a player character that literally refuses to stop fighting - even when unstable. Will prob lead to a quick death but the roleplay potential is huge.

Really cool! Looking forward to the game. I’m liking these rules and appreciate all the thought put into them. It just feels “right.” Also, Merry Christmas!

Skyrend, who knows the tales

Oh I really love the way this is described, and having characters still get to have their heroic moments so near going down? Heck yes. I watched it on youtube, showed my players, they loved it. I think the only downside for them was the idea of negative hp, though I'm an OLD player and they're relatively newer. We bantered back and forth about how it could be represented, mentioned the idea of stamina or another rank of HP besides bloodied, but I described it as a health bar overlay and they grokked it better. In the end we're all totally looking forward to the game and seeing how things play out at a table. Merry Christmas to the whole team, thanks for all the hard work, guys, enjoy the time off!

Played the play test. Got unbalanced. Worked as intended. It ramped up excitement as opposed to anxiety. I held my life in my hands and made meaningful, poignant choices knowing they were likely my last.
