Happy Halloween, folks! It's the moment you've been waiting for (gosh how time really does fly when you're busy, eh?): Halloween! And with Halloween comes the first release for Liala.

To temper your expectations, she doesn't have a whole lot in terms of things she can do just yet. What there is, we're quite happy with; but as with most other characters' first releases, this is largely a preview of what's to come down the road. It'll give you a sense of the tone we're going for, and a sense for the character herself.

Making a naga-type character, as it turns out, is difficult in basically every single way that 'normal' bipedal or quadrupedal characters just aren't. The team's really been tested in getting her working to begin with, with there being hangups and issues at almost every step of the way even up until a couple of days ago.

The hope is that now that we've got a lot of the foundational aspects of Liala set up, adding onto her in the future will go far more smoothly. You can also get an idea of some of the ideas we want to explore in the future, but we'll have to see how that goes. We've got a very, very long road ahead still.

Some people are mentioning that the game isn't working and freezing on startup. If you're having any issues, try removing the following files:

These are required for modded characters to work, but are likely causing some kind of issue. We are currently looking into it.
