TKOhhh

ARE WE SUPPOSED TO BE LAUGHING?!

TKOhhh

SHAQ, HELP 😫😹

ShaquanVirse

It's a comedy also - just keep watching and you'll know why it's peak Fantasy but peak comedy also

TKOhhh

Ok thanks, dawg 🖤🖤

Michelle Hollamon

It makes more sense in episode 2. I won't say more than that as I dunno WHERE you two are in the series as of this comment.

Michelle Hollamon

This show isn't like "Solo Leveling but Edgy" it's closer to... "Solo Leveling but on Cocaine and Shrooms, and some new Super-LSD mixed in." That'd be a better comparison.

Shadowmist909

Don't worry it's indeed intended to be a comedy! I'm happy this was watched when you were in a giddy mood Taylor. Since you guys like power fantasies and shows like Solo Leveling. This will slide in nicely to fill that void!

Michelle Hollamon

Oh and this will be my edit to the above: (keep forgetting shift+enter) 1. The cute girls thing actually does have an in-lore explanation, but yeah, it's supposed to be very funny. 2. In the case of Bleach, I'm kind of half-expecting it to replace Kai, I dunno if that'll turn out to be true, but around the time you two are done with DBZ, specifically DBZ, unclear as towards your opinions on Super (I kind of burned out in between Super arcs... I won't say which two because the Super fans might kill me on Instinct), anyway, I'm sad that Bleach, while top-o-de-list, isn't happening YET, I'm still excited to see it acknowledged, so thank you Karlii!~ Hope you're having a wonderful week!!!!~ Also, yeah, uh, you too Taylor... I guess... jk! I'm actually hoping that both of you are having a wonderful week!!!!!

ShaquanVirse

it's 60/40, the story takes itself seriously with comedy added but the MC is the main comedic relief - Episode 1 in a nutshell - you will die laughing so enjoy

PsyrinCall

Oh, this is Going to be a Fun Watch-Through. Buckle your Cringe-Tolerance up For Pure unadulterated Vanity. i wouldn't call it Edgy in the normal terms but MC would be Edgy in the Cringe-Lord Terms.

PsyrinCall

in my opinion this anime is more of a One-Punch Man level of seriousness. I don't reckon 1 episode at a time would be best way to watch this. (but maybe i am just Impatient.)

TKOhhh

We’re watching 2x a week!

Matthew Voss

I am so gad you're watching this. I do think the dub is better. Adam's performance elevates it so much.

Funny thing this episode isn't in the LN #1. The Light Novel starts out where episode 2 starts. Yes! Laugh at this, it is not serious at all. At times its intentionally cringy. It does all the tropes. Busty bookworm complete with the pixie cut and glasses? check. Tsundere with twin-tails and a flat chest? you betcha.

Random

Watch in Japanese language. The scene we are all wanting to see you react to does not exist in the dub version. This coming from the guy that watches most stuff dub if its available. I speak a bit of Japanese, so it pisses me off to hear the words, see the text, and they don't match. This show and Fate are just better in Japanese.

GodUsopp

basically this show represents the other side of solo leveling, where if you were put into a situation where your the main character how would you act, you could act like jin woo or..........

Thamor

Will be fun to see will you get the jokes in this. "chuunibyou" might be new thing for you =). Do hope you keep watching this in Sub. It's just better in that version. Ps. This is just pure comedy, so you can laugh all you want in this show.

Michelle Hollamon

Hilariously, I agree with you on this, but my cringe-tolerance is abnormally high. I have antibodies from AMV Hell, so even the cringiest of material just causes me to laugh.

Phishinabowl

LOVE that you guys are reacting to this show! It's SUCH a funny/ridiculous one but its also so goddam good. It was great that Taylor was in a giddy mood for this because it DOES do over the top ridiculousness in every episode so keep that energy lol. Personally I vote to watch it in Dub cuz the voices sound even MORE serious which makes it that much funnier. The VA's also do an amazing job so would be nice to hear the English version IMO. Either way, can't wait for more episodes!

TKOhhh

It's ok you can wish Karlii a happy week and leave me out to dry. It's totally acceptable in my book 😌

Michelle Hollamon

I like both of you. Karlii might be top of the list but we talk more. Sorry. But I do wish both of you a wonderful week, and now hell! Fuck it! I hope both of you have a good next 365.25 days!!!! (.25 just represents why we have a leap year... I prefer to be mathematically accurate about it... it's not 0.25 either... it's like 0.25 and change... but still) So there, now you got me to wish you a good full year between April 9th 2025 to April 9th 2026 at almost 7pm from when I typed this! So there. Now it's fuckin' sincere! You just had to be "funny" to get it. Now accept it! (Time given in PST, as I live in said time zone)

Ryne

I subbed just for this.

Naowtsugu

Please continue on Sub. i sub just for this :D dub is good but if your not speaking native English, you`ll appreciate the japanese sub more

wiski

Decided to do a Youtube check for EiS reactions just in case there were any new ones, and there were, and there was a Patreon, so here I am now.

Boobasword

you gotta embrace the cringe!

TKOhhh

annnd here you are!

Micah Allen Macoy

Excited to watch this beside you guys for my third watch!! Love this show, it's wild and amazing haha

Benjamin Reacts

I got ya'll for DBZA but MAN am I happy to see this too! One of my all time favorites!

Buraku Sama

Alright! Since I'm caught up with both overlord and slime, might as well watch this as well. Feels weird to see y'all go from couch to closet to couch to closet again 😂

Agustin Machak

Are we supposed to take this seriously? I can't tell. *Title card drops like nine times in ep 1* ...Ah
