I actually seen the exact scenario on reddit "Makoto vs Rimuru" and it's Rimuru. Makoto has an immense amount of mana and later in the show develops a really unique application of it but as you catch up to it you'll see there's a huge difference in their capabilities with magic and hacks/abilities. I recommend revisiting this once you catch up to understand the difference but Rimuru would win as of right now because Makoto is still far from close to his full potential. Even at max potential Beelsebub is a nasty ability that can eat and erase any ability then copy it, its kinda hard to beat a skill like that

Maybe you didn't heard Akina's voice as Milim's it because one of the voices or even both were not her real voice but modified. Just a small sample of the greater repertoire a voice actor can achieve. Good hearing there. As soon as Karlii told it I tried my best but I was so far away from it haha. I guess that's a world's difference in that regard.

100% Rimiru would beat Makoto. Having read whats available for their manga right now, Rimiru could reach out and touch someone and cause them to just explode. Makoto does get some cool abilities, but he isnt on that level. Besides, I think they would be partners, not enemies. Both creating a haven of monsters and all, ya know?

Tough question to choose between Rimuru and Makoto. I love them both so much but I think Rimuru edges a little smidgen more for me personally. Edit: Awesome! Adding the himbo Lich into the harem.

Yeah, a fight between Rimuru and Makoto would be pretty short. Makoto has an absurd amount of mana and his abilities are pretty diverse, but Gluttony/Beelzebub is a hard counter to basically everything he can do.

I think your guys minds hear "god" and maybe think abrahamic, capital G omnipotent God. Remember, Aqua from Konosuba is a god too. Being "at the level of a god" doesn't necessarily mean anything. Remember that in Slime, Luminous is literally worshiped as a god and she's a Demon Lord. And Shuna uses Rimuru as the focus of her faith for her divine magic, so even Rimuru is somewhat treated like a god. Like, S1 Makoto probably beats S1 Rimuru, I'll give you that. But the Makoto you currently see wouldn't be able to do anything to Demon Lord Rimuru. Even if Makoto manages to do damage somehow, one of Rimuru's skills is "Infinite Regeneration".

As much as I love makoto, he doesn't stand a chance against rimuru. Maybe pre-demon lord rimuru but anything after that is death for makoto.

Rimuru Wins. It has already been said, but when Magic is involved Rimuru wins, pre and especially Post Demon Lord status. Physically it can maybe be argued that Makoto might be able to tangle with Rimuru S1, but with Great sage and then Raphael analysis, Rimuru can think 1000x than a normal human with great sage and 1 million times faster with Raphael. This takes away Makoto's only edge in the physical sense too truthfully since not alone can Rimuru adapt to any martial arts he has, but he also can predict his movemens too. Idk if you guys really understand how broken Rimuru really is😌. With just 2 of his skills, he destroys all magic users in most Anime i would argue, if he is actually serious and trying😅 especially post Demon Lord evolution. Accelerated thought processing/ analysis, infinite Regeneration, also, physical attacks don't really work on him well, and basically a 2nd life if Veldora is involved with their connections. Then his 4 Ultimate skills, really which 2 are all is needed to beat many characters, Belzeebulb, and Raphael are just OP combinations that very very few Characters can deal with, even if they know about it. All of this is just S2 Rimuru

If you look closely, as they're explaining his increasing mana pool. The silhouette in the aura after the first one is Gohan as SS2 and Goku as SS3. I chuckled way more than I probably should have when I noticed that.

The way you were talking about Rimuru and Makoto being similar... as I understand it the creators of these two stories are friends and deliberately borrow the heck out of each other's stuff. So if you see similarities and outright overlaps, that's why.

remember in the first episode what the male god said, the world he came from puts incredible amount of pressure for the body, that's why he was so strong and survived the fall. NOW think about how strong his parents needed to be to survive in that higher pressure.
