Jake and Amir Watch Soda & Gardening

Not really a hobby, but we've been getting into discussing long straws and green thumbs recently!

Comments

Rhys Bergman

Not one mention of somehow only spending $10/wk on groceries???

Sean Surber

They said $10/wk on produce specifically. So just fruits and veggies and such.

Zanesh Amin

That's a fun lil bts fact that they'd derobe through the episodes

Parm

Forgotten how good gardening was! So good!! 💕

Jonas

Thanks for pausing more!

D. Alchemist

Firework was my class song so I loved soda also my friends and I and I and my friends recreated the straw in a whataburger

Eli Horn

You gotta give me a sip of that soda..

Josh King

Amir’s face when he sneaks a diary entry 😂

Arnauld

Moments where shit is included (that I can remember) Brown Teepee (TP of shit in Jake's face) Toilet (Throws shit in Jake's face then says it's pudding, then Jake eats it) Vandalism (Shit smeared on bathroom mirror) Gardening (Amir literally eating horse shit) Pizza (Mentions Will eating his own shit) Shia (Mentions Will eating his own shit) That's all the ones I can think of right now

Anonymous

Amir has such chimpmunk like arms in the intro

Anonymous

what brand is Jake's watch?

Greg Truong

I have dozens of favorites, but I always laugh at the soda episode.

Matt Lorenzo

Jake saying "move there?" is such an underrated line. I love it.

Brandon O'Hara

Pausing while you guys discuss is so much better. This was the best J&A Watch J&A.

Dave Barbella

"You gotta give me a sip of that" has really stuck with me. One of my favorite lines.

Jorge Collings

Amazing! So glad you took on all the feedback

Dan Connell

Thanks for pausing more. It makes these videos a lot better. Really enjoyed this episode. And I give both Soda and Gardening an A.

Anonymous

Forgot how funny gardening was! I was tearing up by the end I was laughing so much.

Luke

Lmao I never even realized how easily Jake could've just seen the straw

Henry Kruse

Sosa is the first episode I saw and really made me understand Jake and Amir, it’s my favourite episode. I love every line in it. Heliport? Move? Amir’s face when Jake reads the date. YOU GOTTA GIVE ME A SIP A THAT SODA. I gave you a diary, give me a sip. To me, this episode is a gold mine for reasons why I love Jake and Amir

Hammy

Soda is hands down my favorite J&A

Anonymous

"Exactly right" Jake using Amir's phrases hmm

Tyler Dhunjishaw

Please watch Double Date with Murph and Emily

Anonymous

I have the opposite opinion as them. Soda would be an A and Gardening would be a C-. I think Amir is on to something when he commented on how they might be biased to the videos they most recently shot. Overall loved them both and love you guys!

Anonymous

Gardening is one of my favorites. I really love the facial expressions and moments of silence Amir's using while he's lying about the cost. "NINE...."BUCKS"..."dude"...

sk8bit

Best one of these yet. Hit that stride baby.

Anonymous

Idk how I forgot about these two episodes, but man they are hilarious X'D both are A's to me :)

Eric Abrams

So much better with more pausing! Great episode

Jorel Hoffert

You gotta do Corduroy Pant! Love the episodes where they reverse roles.

Surya Bhupatiraju

Agree with others who've commented -- this is the best J&A watch J&A episode so far. Thank you so much for pausing! I feel like I learned quite a bit this time and was able to appreciate your commentary and get to relive some oldie goldies.

Lena

I still quote this one! Solid A+ for me

Kyle Johnson

Can you guys pause the video when you start talking? I want to hear the video and the commentary but can't hear either when theyre both going on.

Don Johnson

I think about this every episode. I think the issue would be A. the editing and B. the length of the videos. If they commented on every single thing, these videos would be 30 minutes long. Not that I'd be opposed, at all, but I think that's probably their thinking on it.

Jesse Reid

pls do the og rick fox episode!!

Anonymous

"what's lacking? character development?" 😂

Sasha Marni

I'm really getting into craisins recently, you know, cranberry raisins.

perdip singh

Great work, loved the soda era. That was when I initially started watching.

Liam Sturgess

I definitely agree that you enjoy the more recent ones more because they're closer to your current sense of humour, but of course you also had honed the process to a hilarious science by then so anything you made was going to be a classic. :D

Skylar Ruprecht

I think Gardening was too over the top, probably a C because it did have funny parts, but it was at the point in the series where I felt like things were spiraling a little too out of control. Soda, on the other hand, is definitely an A in my mind. It's got a ton of good jokes, and it's subdued enough to be believable

Anonymous

this is by far my favourite episode, literal tears haha

Shannon Hutchinson

Soda was amazing! A for sure! Gardening was funny but there was less character and heart.

Jamie P.

I say June 43rd 1 way too often in my real life.

David Pugh

You GOTTA gimme a sip of THAT soda..

Lukas Schneider

man idk but i laughed my ass off about move and heleport

Eanna Quigley

I still quote 'Nice catch Jay Buhner' to this day

I believe Amir’s hobby of alienating significant others was after CH Moved to LA

Emily Jayne Peters

I totally agree with Skylar, I adored Soda - the subtle acting choices, the journal, the annunciations. All absolutely classic. A+ for me. On the other hand, Gardening is over the top, and a little too loud and silly - still some really laugh out loud jokes - but I'd say C+

PietroFabian

Soda is one of my all-time favorites lmao I say "You gotta give me a sip of THAT soda" all the time! It was short and bare but it didn't need more; it did exactly what it needed to and Amir's delivery was flawless. I feel like it was a solid B at least!

Watch The Godfather and Party Planning. Two ensemble eps with other CH staff.
