In Jake and Amir: Day After Thanksgiving, Amir says his father is 42 and that episode was in 2015 which would make his dad about 2 years old during the very tail end of Vietnam. So it's no wonder he ran away! Or more likely Amir was just wrong about his age.

the dynamic of these 4 is wild I feel like Dave is this big frat guy who thinks he's cooler than all these comedy writers irl, but when the camera's on him he totally freezes up and comes across as the only one there who has no idea what he's doing.
