Hey all! I promise I have not forgotten about you, I just haven't been animating a whole lot recently due to commissions and a few other artworks. But I am very excited for next college semester because I have an idea for what the assignments will be and I am sure I'll be able to do a lot of animations compared to the past one I took (not this one but another one I'll be sharing here soon), and some I'm positive I'll be able to do Flash and Twilight, so I'm super excited! And yes by being subscribed to this tier you will be able to see a lot of my college work! I have a plan on how I'll share my animations here too, probably around the same format as the illustrations, that being said-- rough- clean up- colors (If I even get to it)- some render (if I even get to it)We'll see if the idea will work or not, and as usual, I'm always looking for feedback on both art related stuff as well as just Patreon organization stuff :]

Anyways, about this animation. This was my 2D1 final!! It is a flour sack animation.

What is a flour sack animation?Flour sack animations are usually great ways to practice and show your skill in animation. It is what usually differs a professional animator from an unprofessional one. It used to be considered a test for Disney animators too back in the day I believe (I am not completely sure if they still do that)

Why a flour sack?A flour sack has no face, nor arms and legs. Its body is like a bean. It makes it very hard for you to show emotions with something that is technically not able to show any emotions, especially without a face. So a way to easily show emotions is to just play with it's body. It is actually very fun to see a flour sack animation, as well as making one. It is also very tricky though!

Throughout the semester we also practiced other things, such as weight exercises and walk cycles, they are actually not as impressive as this one, since I was still learning both animation and software. But I can share them if you would like me to! Just let me know.

Software we use: Toon Boom Harmony.

So, the goal of this final animation is to show:- Weight- Walk Cycle- Emotion- A little story too- Minimum of 15 seconds long, max of 30. (Yes I did 44 but the professor was not mad)

I actually got a 100% on this, and yeah... You may think it was easy for being "art" class, but this professor grades in a very tough way, I was actually his very first student to ever get a 100% in an assignment, so of course I had to share my grade here, haha, because I am super proud of it. :D

Thank you so much for the patience and the amazing support, I promise you that once my college semester starts this tier will be getting the most attention rather than the Lua one!
