This was one of my 2D1 assignments for college! It is a weight exercise, I'm happy I was able to find it in my files. It unfortunately is unfinished, and I wish I had done it differently. I'm not too sure I'm going to finish it either.

The character I animated is called Tristana, she is from League of Legends (yes I am a league player but I barely play it nowadays and I promise I'm not toxic aaaaaa)Anyways!

In this animation we were supposed to show - WEIGHT! The professor recommended animating something heavy rather than light, cuz it is easier to animate heavy objects rather than light ones (at least these are his words)

For heavy objects, you gotta demonstrate the character is not only struggling to lift it, as well as also make sure to let people know the object is heavy by simply making the character just kind of "think" of how they will carry it even before they do. It's the preparation stage, because if you think about it, when you are about to carry something heavy, you get ready for it! So that's exactly what we are doing in animation too since animation is purely just illusions :]

When the character is carrying something heavy, it's important to show a difference in silhouettes, like in and out type of situation, straight its back and then bend it, com C to I :] vise versa! As well as making the character take a few steps back is also great, because it means it's trying to find balance!

This was not a 100%, but I did get like an A for it I believe!

Thank you so much for yall's patience btw <3 I took a little bit of a break to myself after all of those commissions.

I also have said it before, but this tier (Sol tier) will have a lot more attention once my college semester starts because of animation stuff! :] And I have nice ideas for the assignments already, I hope I actually manage to work on them!!

Well done. I like how the heavy object is a sleeping cat. somehow makes the scene feel more realistic.
