2D2 Animation - Rough (Patreon)

OKAY!! So, this is an assignment that is about Lip Syncing actually!! But most importantly, ACTING! :D

I had to actually record myself for this reference, it’s super helpful, I just don’t like to have to show a video of me and my terrible acting to the class haha

Critique for the storyboard/rough will be tomorrow, I did get somewhat excited and went ahead and animated more than what I needed to, I’ll be sharing the other version here soon.

But yeah, about the assignment itself.

This assignment is to focus on yeah, lip sync but truly, acting is the most important here. The way my professor described it was something like “you can tell when an animation is good when you mute it and you can still see what the characters are feeling”

Which is absolutely crazy to me because it makes a lot of sense, I just never stopped to think about it, so yea! :D I tried my best for this audio (it’s from Scott Pilgrim Takes Off) and I’m super proud of it

And no, it is not Spike I will be drawing haha, as much as I love Spike I want to do other characters too. So this one will be our dear Flash Sentry! I think it fits him
