Hey folks!We've released an experimental MAC OS build of Roundscape.You can check it out in the download page, if you encounter any problems or bugs, please report them here or on discord.

At the bottom you'll also find a small mini poll, we would like to know what system you're using.

Windows and Android here, I doubt you guys could make an Android version work with a game as complex as the ones you make.

Thanks from this OSX user! It has been playable even without the app executable, though it has been a bit crashy and required some hacky manoeuvres to carry over saves from version to version.

I'd love it for Android but it'll definitely need to allow the data to go on an actual sdcard tho.

Something I just figured out. When entering names in the letter-selector panel, right-click/two-finger-click is what allows backspacing on the Mac. Not sure if that's how it is for anyone else, but that would be a nice note to put in there.

Oh, you also ran into the read-only file system issue, where MV tries to save to a mount created by OSX for the app. There's a plugin that fixes it: <a href="https://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?threads/save-files-saved-to-local-data-folders.56229/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?threads/save-files-saved-to-local-data-folders.56229/</a> which WhiteRaven (maker of A New Dawn here on Patreon) has already used successfully. At least, I believe it's the same plugin.

I believe the plugin I suggested would allow that as well, though I haven’t actually witnessed a working example.

I was kind of surprised how few non-Windows users there were in the poll, until I considered that of course they would be less common without versions that work “out of the box”. I should see if the same trick I used to make it work(ish) for OSX also works on Linux, and then it could be put in a FAQ for users of unsupported platforms.

Thanks for your patience. I know we've had people asking for alt versions of RS for a while so they can enjoy it on their systems.
