[Update] Sweaty Summertime Shrinking – Finishing up animation pass, onto to doing shot revisions and corrections (Patreon)

I've finished up with the main animation pass now. All 37 shots have been fully animated and now it's just a case of going over them all to check for errors and make any needed corrections/revisions to round things off.

Once that's done I'll be shifting gears over to finishing up various visual-related tasks: doing scene-building, fx, re-lighting and shader-work.

Finishing up animation pass:

There aren't many new additions to cover for this update since I mainly stuck to finishing up what I already had blocked in.

I did extend the previously shown S1 to now include Rog putting the box of bottles he brought over down on the camera, to better flow into the shot after.

Along with that I added a new shot (S5) of Lug winking down at Hugo before Rog's foot fills the frame, which was an idea suggested by giantbearlover in a previous update. Originally I didn't want to make any new additions with how long work on this one was dragging on, but having Perfect Parking Spot done has given me a bit more room to breathe and the new shot makes for a less abrupt shift between S4 and S6.

Shot revisions and corrections:

Moving on to my plans for corrections/revisions, basically every shots going to be looked over (though I've already noted down a bunch of small fixes for some). It's mostly going to be a case of fixing clipping and tweaking the timing of things, though there are three shots in particular that are going to need some degree of re-animating/extending.

First is the previously scrapped bottle with the merging droplets shot, with Hugo moving to lap Lug's sole in the background, which begins the first foot-worship section of the animation:

I scrapped the original because it lacked the impact I was looking for, but now that I've got a bit more breathing room I'd like to have a go at reworking it. I mainly want to make it feel less ease-in/ease-out, so I'll be entirely redoing the animation of Hugo and Lug in the background.

Second, is the shot of shrunken Hugo grabbing and kissing Lug's toe:

This ones a case of the arms feeling too sluggish when he reaches up to pull the toe back down towards him so I want to redo that.

Third and lastly is the shot of Lug stroking his cock with Hugo under toe as seen from below:

This is one I want to extend instead of reanimate; I want to have it start with Lug shifting his hand over to stroke, instead of him starting in the middle of the action.

Outside of these three there's not going to be much in the way of new additions to show for upcoming updates on corrections/revisions, so expect them to be mainly mini-updates covering what I've gotten done until I'm on to working on scene-building, fx, lighting and shading work.

Next side project - working on a render comic:

As mentioned in my previous update, I'd like to keep in the habit of having a few projects in the works at a time.

Since I've been doing animation and fx/sim work back to back so far, I'd like to do a render comic as a change of pace. While I've got an interest in doing more one-off poster-style renders in the future, I feel like comics are a better fit for doing full scenario-based renders compare to my previous render sequences.

It also lets me better storyboard out ideas for possible future animations as is the case for this one: a classic macro-fucks-road-tunnel scenario with Rog.

In terms of how I want to handle updates for it; I'm going to go with having one once I've drafted it up and finished any custom modelmaking the scenario requires. Then I'll render and post it one or two pages at a time, switching back to getting work done on Summertime Shrinking in between. Ultimately I don't want side projects like this to delay making progress on my animations too much.
