Honestly I just wanted to make him a bit more complex, I don't like how he was a cookie cutter black and white villain. I'm making him be a good dad who trapped himself in grief and in attempt to get back what he lost he lost everything instead. Also sets up a lot of drama for Adrien, cause he loved his dad and yet that wasn't enough. That type of thing ya know? Though I have nothing against the people who do like him just being bad, this is just for me to explore and hopefully for others to enjoy :]

I love this, I really want him better explained because humans aren't black and white there is a lot of gray, and the choices we make can change us, and exploring him as a character is fantastic. My main problem with him in the show is that he's a bad dad who isn't afraid to manipulate kids and adults into what he wants, and then is like "I was a good dad.", but he was so toxic, and really lost a lot that the show glosses over and just made him unapologetically a villain and said grief was his excuse, but his actions said differently. So I love that you're making him more complex!

Yeah exactly! Especially since we were given moments he seemed to care and then he was completely chill with Adrien dying?? Pick a lane dude. I want to make him someone who committed to his goal but became trapped by the consequence of it, someone who acted out of desperation and now can't stop. The point isn't to excuse him but make him human, he loves his son, his family, so much he will try and get her back but the cost was too high and now he has to commit, because if he stops, what were the sacrifices for. Not everyone will like it I know but like eh Lila will just straight up be after world domination in my AU though, she's messed up
