Today has been such a terrible day online, I've gotten at least 3 death threats (idk if more, I stopped checking) over football

Just wanted to update y'all that if you guys want to communicate with me, here is the best place! I will no longer be interacting much in social media, it's just not worth it for my mental health (and despite my very cool demeanor, I am actually very weak)

For now, I'm going to keep working on finishing up this last comm so I can get back to working on chapter 2 of BackUp :]

Thanks :] I'm trying my best to just ignore it cause people who use more than a single thought know I'm not attacking a whole ass country, just talking about a football team. It's still rough being insulted over things you didn't say though

Some people just LOVE to assume the worst of others and feel justified in lashing out over their self-made strawman. The best course of action is reporting, blocking, and taking care of your own mental health. If they want to stress out over non-issues, thats their own problem, but they have no right slinging threats like that.

Gosh, how I hate people being toxic over games...it's sad bc here in Brazil(idk in other places)people do get violent over football/soccer, that being just a regular day for us, even if the police is called or we are judged based on our team choice Anyways, try to take a break and just remember: if they hate you for something that is not criminal, they are the dumb ones Also, how I love origami, can we all make them with Caine? :D

I’m so sorry you’re being faced with such misplaced rage. Your popularity was earned through hard work and sharing art.. those commenters had no right to come at you, and over sports of all things! I see in his hands an origami crane.. I think? Here in Japan, we have also had a bitter and quiet exit from the World Cup scene. Everyone was wearing samurai blue the day before and there was unmatched energy flowing through the country that we really, really needed. Finding out the score the next morning.. the atmosphere was completely different. So when I saw your art the other day, I felt really happy and understood. It was empowering!! I really can’t understand where else the thought could have went.. but it went somewhere far and cold, and for that I’m really sorry. Please take time for yourself and know that we all think you are really cool (obviously for art, but also liking sport). Even if it came with a personal cost to you, people received strength and inspiration from your post the other day. I hope people’s cruelty doesn’t discourage you from expressing yourself that way in the future 🇨🇦🍁🇯🇵

Thank you so much. While I do understand where some of their frustration comes from, it's upsetting they decided to target it at me, I'm not saying anything bad about any country I just want someone new to win because all my teams lost, which is just the spirit of the game but people took it as a personal attack. It sucks but it happens, I suppose And Japan played so well, it was so beautiful to watch your team go, I was really hoping they'd go further but they gave it their best and there is always next time! Be proud (my home country, Chile, didn't even qualify 😭)(and yes he is making a crane :]) Sorry I didn't include the Japanese jersey, I actually was going to originally but I ended up picking my fellow Latinos (let's say Ragatha is wearing it since I somehow forgot about drawing her???? Idk how I did that I'm embarrassed)

(I deleted my own comment by mistake..! I’ll rewrite it ✍️) Thank you so much 💜 I looked, and so did others, to find out what caused such a reaction. Turns out.. there was nothing! You really did nothing to cause this. It’s already been said many times, but it cannot be emphasized enough, especially in the spirit of sport. And I’m so happy to hear you say so!! I usually watch only women’s..but from this year, also men’s! Let’s hope for Chile and Japan’s wins in the near future 🍀 He’s holding a crane!! How lovely 🥹 It would be impossible to draw every jersey.. but to hear that about Ragatha post script makes me so happy (she is my favorite character hehe) If you need some cheering up, let me recommend this year’s Japan chant song. There is an official one, but the Brazilian remix (ironic, I know) is the one that took off — it can make anyone happy in any context ♡
