Tigris passed away in her sleep yesterday afternoon, lying on her favorite blanket and surrounded by her favorite people.

She was born 19 years ago in a barn which abutted the home of a friend of mine, and I found her and her sister living under their porch. I lured them home with me using a bag of deli turkey, and she survived for 16 years roaming the woods and marshland of the same timber farm where I grew up. When my mother sold the old farm Tigris moved indoors. In May of last year she relocated to a luxury retirement villa in New Yark City, where she made several critically acclaimed podcast appearances.

She was ornery, obstinate, demanding, willful, pernicious, and perverse - the best of cats. We loved her dearly. We will be taking some time away from the podcast to grieve.

I read this as I was sitting with my cats and tears came to my eyes... She was an inseparable part of the MSB experience, what a sweet soul. תנצב"ה

She was a warrior and an explorer. A great addition to the Gundam legacy. I will send good vibes your way to support you in your grief.

I am so sorry to hear about Tigris. Please take as much time as you need to mourn and heal.

Rest in peace, dear podcat. I always had to chuckle in the bloopers when she meowed loud enough to be heard, and on occasion during the podcasts themselves where she could be heard in the background. Take all the time you guys need, process at your leisure. We'll be here when you get back!
