Here's a quick mini-episode to keep you all up to date on what we've been up to behind the scenes as we prepare for Season 11!

So, you absolutely have mentioned that Escaflowne is one of your all time favorite anime and I have been meaning to plant the idea that you guys do a special Patreon episode about it.

I became a backer because Tom is ALLEGEDLY an Escaflowne fan. Because I too, am one as well ❤️‍🩹

I just heard 'watching Aura Battler Dunbine' and some inner part of me, faced with the prospect of 'Tom and Nina watch non-Gundam robot shows', is slamming his metaphorical hands on the equally metaphorical table and shouting 'I-de-on! I-de-on! I-de-on!' I am aware that this is unlikely (if only because I don't think Imagawa worked on that one!) but I thought the mental image was funny enough to share, at least.

While Imagawa did not work on Ideon, he also worked on several episodes of the Tomino series that followed Dunbine, Heavy Metal L-Gaim. Personally I'm glad they are watching Dunbine because there's quite a bit of its "DNA" in Victory Gundam (along with basically all the other 80s Tomino non-Gundam works: Ideon, Xabungle and L-Gaim—the last of which also lends itself heavily to Zeta and ZZ).

Definitely looking forward to hearing more of your thoughts on Dunbine. It's a wild ride.
