Goal Reached: $2000/month! (Patreon)

First things first - WOW! And thank you!

This is a big milestone, and for us to reach it now, in the midst of these tumultuous and difficult times, is really amazing. We are full of gratitude for your support, and beyond pleased that the podcast continues to grow, reaching new listeners all the time.

But beyond the excitement of reaching a new milestone, we also made a few commitments tied to this goal.

1) Purchase some study materials on Japanese Language. My goal *was* to take the JLPT N3 in December 2020. My studies have been thrown off somewhat by current events, and it seems unlikely that the test will still happen, but regardless, I will be able to buy some textbooks/test prep materials, and keep working on my language proficiency (if you've taken the test and have recommendations, please share them in the comments!).

2) New patron-exclusive mini-episodes for Fraw Bow - tier and up patrons. These will be an opportunity for me to talk a bit more about things we learn from Japanese-language sources, interesting bits of information about language in the episode, and so on. These could be about phrases, grammar, new vocabulary I learned.... pretty much anything language-related. The first of these will come out next month (May 2020).

It just so happens that we recently hit another milestone - 200,000 episode listens! It's easy to immediately move on to the next goal, but today, we are going to take a moment to celebrate.
