Hello patrons, and welcome to episode 3 of Nina's Nihongo Zone. This month I talk about the JLPT, or Japanese Language Proficiency Test, the fact that it's been canceled this year, other proficiency tests, and what it all means for my Japanese studies in the year ahead.

- Webpages for the JLPT, JPT, and BJT.

- Immigration Bureau of Japan page for "Points-Based Preferential Immigration Control and Residency Management Treatment for Highly -Skilled Foreign Professionals."

- The intro song is "The city" by The Kyoto Connection, from the album Kyoto Soundscapes, licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.

- The outro song is "Brain Power" by Mela, from the album Mela two, licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.

Congratulations! Great efforts with great rewards. The journey is difficult and so it must be to be worthy. Your insights are a great contribution to the show and your studies are no doubt a significant contributing factor. You have both opened my eyes to so many subjects and ideas. Looking forward with anticipation. All the best!

Have you considered trying to learn songs you like and what they mean? I think that might fit into the “things that interest you” categories that could help you keep progressing. :) good luck. P.S. I wouldn’t mind if you translated some songs for us here in an episode.
